Purpose is meaning, truth is to say you are finished.

Are you finished?
How can you understand the meaning or value of anything if you don't have the truth....I mean a fairy tale is great...but it has no true value or meaning in the end.

Why come to a "Christian" site...and expect that others are not going to base their understanding on the bible? That don't make sense...does it?
I am here to road test my philosophies on the hardest fundamentals I can find, this is so I can learn how to improve my communication skills.

It makes sense to me.

Because you can't learn if you believe you have the truth.

Ok well that would mean something to me if I was still a Christian, but I'm not. I don't base my current understanding of life on bible verses Multilingul, why would I.

That wouldn't make any sense.

If you were STILL a christian? Does that mean that you think you were at some time?

I learn every day! The Holy Spirit teaches me things every single day! The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom.
Thats the key. I have wisdom through Christ and the renewing of my mind through his word.
Are you on drugs? I ask in all seriousness. You do not make a lick of sense

If you have the truth, you have a foundation for your learning. If there's no such thing as truth, you have no foundation, but you just borrow from Judeo-Christian reasoning. After all, science would've been stillborn in the West without the Judeo-Christian worldview.

Oh so you don't mind if we are Christians...then don't be surprised if we reason within our faith and the truth of scripture.

Or do you think you have the right to demand that we don't?

To answer all these post about learning more about the truth, how can one learn more about that which they know to be absolutely true. If you know that absolute truth is Jesus, then you know truth 100%. However if one says we still need to learn what that truth is but at the same time say I know 100% it's absolutely Jesus, then you don't know if Jesus is absolutely true.

Now do you.

She said learning more about the truth, not learning what the truth is. There's a huge difference. Don't you find it rather fruitless to believe as the postmoderns do, that it's important to seek, but never to find? I don't know. Seems rather silly to me.

So then Christians don't know enough about the truth, but they know what the truth is?

Tintin, what did Jesus say to do when someone is your enemy. Did he say to act like an ass as you're acting. When are you going to just get around to loving your enemies, because I'm getting very tired of this act you Christians put on. Look you can't lie to God ok, you can't fake loving me to him ok.
