I read Blue like Jazz a couple of years ago and thought it was quite a 'hippie' perspective on Jesus. Well you get all kinds.

I was kinda expecting a more african american take, since thats where jazz originated, but I suppose other cultures like jazz too.

I'm not really into jazz myself (it does go on for a bit) but the thing I appreciate about jazz is people are free to improvise and make their own music with others and it can turn into something special.

How that relates back to church I suppose is it takes all kinds.
