Knitting. I could have been expert by now if I hadn't quit.
I remember a Star Trek book where Captain Kirk said something similar. He made the observation that the captain of the ship, arguably the most important person on the entire ship, had nothing to actually do. He speculated maybe he should take up knitting. He could sit there in the center chair and give orders and knit.

i smoked 3 cigarettes in high school & i'll never forget what i said to myself, "if this is what i have to do to have friends, i'd rather not have any friends"! & as time went on, i hardly ever had any friends!
