actually no
it will not work if you life an american lifestyle
you need to be a small farmer, everyone can live reasonably on 1/4 acre growing own food and not eating unnecessary things, and leaving some land for hunting and fishing grounds.

but US people just dont know how to live like this it seems
What do you think an American lifestyle is?

We have lots of small farmers. I live in Southwest Tennessee. I personally know some. They live here in America and they have a lifestyle, but I don't think it has anything to do with what you think of as an American lifestyle.

I don't know the song, but it is probably a good one. His song about Darth Vader was.
It's actually pretty mean. He paints the Amish as being vindictive people who relish the thought of everybody else going to hell.

The Lord hasnt called me to do it so no

If He called you then go...seriously

You might be better off, but then others are meant to grow where they are planted

if you care for what you have already, God will bless you with more

thats why most people stay where they are because Hes already with them

even when times are tough, its often a test or trial and you just need to be patient to overcome

the faithful are like a tree who has deep roots,

see Jeremiah 17:7-8

Im sure if the Lord was truly calling you He will give you words of wisdom or knowlege about it to comfirm it. Not just oh I wanna do this cos I think its a good idea.

In theory I can see the appeal. In practice though is a whole other story. If you have never been in authority over a group of men before, you will find out that it is not so idyllic. Though it is not totally impossible either. Start small I suggest, create a business, rent out a house, live with your tribe, see how it goes and how well you manage. I managed to get up to two locations and 10 men before they started breaking all the rules and the system ripped itself apart.

He has to be in it for it to succeed, every step of the way, Moses had a learning curve too.

I was reading the 'one straw' revolution

but its a Japanese book and the author was espousing Buddhist principles, though basically hed been doing it for 30 years on not very much land, because Japan does not have much arable land pn being self sufficient and people go visit him and learn the kind of farming that is regenerative and they do not need much money, machinery, or any chemical pesticides, fertilisers at all because the practice is to grow rice and then use the straw as mulch on the field, with some manure, and sow into that without ever tilling the soil.

however that lifestyle it is labour intensive during the seasons of harvesting. They need to fetch water and cut wood. Would you be up for that?

Its not for the lazy. Its for those who find joy in being close to nature and loving according to the seasons. If you the kind of person who doesnt like getting their hands dirty or lifting things or wants everyone else to do those things without lifting a finger yourself, its gonna die a nasty death

like Jonestown

see God doesnt work the way men do or see it from our perspective. When God called the israelites out of Egypt, He was showing them the Promised Land. He needed them to look after it because the cannanites had pretty much ravaged it with their sexual immorality.

in modern day Israel people had set up kibbutzes. But actually now those kibbutzes have gone bust and thy are not what they used to be, because man had taken over and tried to make a profit from them rather than Gods intention to make the desert bloom.
