Revelation 21:18 "the city {was} pure gold, like unto clear glass." Yea sure!

China has dominated this since the start it seems. Now they want Taiwan for TSMC. Could be more tension. U.S. businesses have their own conflicted views since the Nixon adm. Many here were critical of 3 gorges before it was built and seem to hope that an earthquake would hit it. If U.S. internal conflicts were resolved would things go smoother? Whose pocketbooks are being threatened?

PRC currently has a "cash crisis" from junk bond sales. Their real estate market is in crisis mode. When apartment rent is more than everyone's salary...it's a problem. (Especially in communist societies where everyone makes the same salary)

People have to choose between having children or home ownership (of a condo...not a single family house)

The bond crisis has caused a cash crisis as payments aren't made which is why they want Taiwan back. PRC already began confiscating banks and their assets in Hong Kong to fix the problem short term....causing havoc with foreign investors.

Taiwan has more foreign investment dollars than most nations. From Austria and Australia to Zimbabwe and New Zealand just about every nation has made investment in Taiwan in some capacity for electronics and semiconductors.

The manufacturing process for a high cash flow business like silicon wafer manufacturing is controlled by companies who make the highly complicated machines that produce the wafers. These companies ALL reside in the USA...which currently are embargoed from selling these machines to PRC.

PRC does produce the silicon but the profits from the silicon is low dollar stuff by comparison with finished silicon wafers.

And every major electronics company has facilities in Taiwan....from Micron technologies (based in Boise ID) to Sony (Japan) even European chipmakers have facilities in Taiwan. If PRC conquers Taiwan basically they will be trying to rob the entire planet. (Not gonna get away with that)

Developing countries are most adversely affected? People, including leaders, easily bamboozled. Who ya gonna call? Ghost busters?

I posted somewhere but search may be easier. Screws into standard light socket. Maybe Micron Tech??? PS Bet Norwegians sitting fat & sassy.

Norwegians got facilities in Taiwan as well.
Micron makes memory chips and not processing chips...Idaho has a HUGE number of retired military and law enforcement officers...more than other states per capita. It's not micron making those packaged bundles...they make different chips than the ones for digital cameras. But they do make memory chips that make those cameras work.

EXCERPT FROM mining.....
“China is the largest supplier and refiner of rare earth elements, but rare earth metals are very common,” says Scott Cassel, chief executive officer and founder of the Product Stewardship Institute, a non-profit organisation based in Boston, Massachusetts. “The mining and refining come with a lot of environmental concerns that have not made it appealing to other nations.

The allotrope we call diamond is something I was even considering to use around the year 1987. But not as the starting material for transistors; although we were a wafer fab facility, but not very advanced. My intent was to use diamond in place of (BeO) Beryllium Oxide, as the carrier of the transistors. This would be a modest gain at best as the thermal conductivity of diamond is superior to BeO. i.e. Natural diamond. But now the continued pursuit of improving performance of processing/computing devices is making some advances toward the 'realization' of a diamond substrate in place of (Si) Silicon as the dominant material utilized for this purpose.
My interest in this is now very marginal but as I see the great interest of those who consider prophecy of the Bible to be of great importance my considerations of this topic may be rekindled. This thread started with the consideration of the science communities pursuits in the allotropes of Gold in specific. A matter which may be pursued by some. But I have not seen evidence. And the work on diamond has advocates but my ability to verify the work is nil. There are claims regarding diamond.
