There is a very precious lesson the Lord showed me a while ago.

When a seed is planted into ground, it has to die first. And when the outer shell of the seed dies, it grows roots downward to take hold of the ground, to build a support for its growth. And after it grows down, it grows up. It receives nutrients and water from the sky, and sunlight, until it grows to become a tall tree.

But the thing is, it can only grow as high as it's roots are deep. If it tries to outgrow the limit of it's roots, it will not have enough support, and a wind may knock it over.

One of the most beautiful things I saw (a revelation of the Lord), was that plants grow towards the sun. We saw trees planted on sloped land, and one would think that they would bend downward from gravity, but they all grew toward the sun still. I don't understand that.

Now, the Lord gives a wonderful revelation of his Word here.

May Jesus bless you.

I learned this long ago from books on biology and the parables of Jesus. You've just appeared to discover it.

But how did you learn to read and write? How did you learn plants are called plants? How did you learn about Jesus's parables? Did Jesus empower you with the ability to read and write and all this information directly or did you learn it in school? You learned it in school from books and school teachers along with a lot of other information you rely upon.

Now you stated that you won't accept any information from books, such as human physiology or the Bible anymore (did you say it was all carnal?), yet you constantly rely upon the information you've already received from books. This is hypocritical and illogical of you Ramon.

How far out are you really Ramon?

You are right, much of what I knew I learned from books. But what I learned to be the Truth, I learned from God.

I learned cursing, and slander, and mockery, and jealousy, and envy, and lust, and anger, and bitterness, and lies from the world.

But I learned grace, and mercy, and gentleness, and kindness, and humility, and truth from the Lord himself, by revelation of the Holy Spirit of God.

But who did men learn from? Who created the man who finds himself so puffed up in his own glory, even to deny the existence of the one who created him?

Should the tree say to the one who planted it, ''I have done it by my own hand?'' No!!

But every high tree will be cut down, that boast in the presence of the Lord.

I will not boast but of his glory, in Jesus Christ. And it is God who gives both knowledge and understanding freely to whomever he wills. Which knowledge can surely be found in Jesus Christ.

May Jesus bless you.

Ramond thank you for sharing, I pray that the seed that was planted in you is like the mighty oak, and that no matter what storms come your way...
you will stand firm in the Lord. God bless you, and may you discern what is best and be pure and blameless till the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

When you said oak, I went and looked up some verses, and this is one I came to. I understand it now, and it is very true today:

Isa 44:13 The carpenter stretcheth out his rule; he marketh it out with a line; he fitteth it with planes, and he marketh it out with the compass, and maketh it after the figure of a man, according to the beauty of a man; that it may remain in the house.
Isa 44:14 He heweth him down cedars, and taketh the cypress and the oak, which he strengtheneth for himself among the trees of the forest: he planteth an ash, and the rain doth nourish it.
Isa 44:15 Then shall it be for a man to burn: for he will take thereof, and warm himself; yea, he kindleth it, and baketh bread; yea, he maketh a god, and worshippeth it; he maketh it a graven image, and falleth down thereto.

Isa 44:16 He burneth part thereof in the fire; with part thereof he eateth flesh; he roasteth roast, and is satisfied: yea, he warmeth himself, and saith, Aha, I am warm, I have seen the fire:
Isa 44:17 And the residue thereof he maketh a god, even his graven image: he falleth down unto it, and worshippeth it, and prayeth unto it, and saith, Deliver me; for thou art my god.

Isa 44:18 They have not known nor understood: for he hath shut their eyes, that they cannot see; and their hearts, that they cannot understand.
Isa 44:19 And none considereth in his heart, neither is there knowledge nor understanding to say, I have burned part of it in the fire; yea, also I have baked bread upon the coals thereof; I have roasted flesh, and eaten it: and shall I make the residue thereof an abomination? shall I fall down to the stock of a tree?
Isa 44:20 He feedeth on ashes: a deceived heart hath turned him aside, that he cannot deliver his soul, nor say, Is there not a lie in my right hand?

Isa 44:21 Remember these, O Jacob and Israel; for thou art my servant: I have formed thee; thou art my servant: O Israel, thou shalt not be forgotten of me.
Isa 44:22 I have blotted out, as a thick cloud, thy transgressions, and, as a cloud, thy sins: return unto me; for I have redeemed thee.
Isa 44:23 Sing, O ye heavens; for the LORD hath done it: shout, ye lower parts of the earth: break forth into singing, ye mountains, O forest, and every tree therein: for the LORD hath redeemed Jacob, and glorified himself in Israel.
Isa 44:24 Thus saith the LORD, thy redeemer, and he that formed thee from the womb, I am the LORD that maketh all things; that stretcheth forth the heavens alone; that spreadeth abroad the earth by myself;

Isa 44:25 That frustrateth the tokens of the liars, and maketh diviners mad; that turneth wise men backward, and maketh their knowledge foolish;
Isa 44:26 That confirmeth the word of his servant, and performeth the counsel of his messengers; that saith to Jerusalem, Thou shalt be inhabited; and to the cities of Judah, Ye shall be built, and I will raise up the decayed places thereof:
Isa 44:27 That saith to the deep, Be dry, and I will dry up thy rivers:
Isa 44:28 That saith of Cyrus, He is my shepherd, and shall perform all my pleasure: even saying to Jerusalem, Thou shalt be built; and to the temple, Thy foundation shall be laid.

Textbooks and teachers taught you how to read and write, nature, science, history, geography, etc... and the Bible taught you Christ's ministry and His apostles words.

It was YOUR decision to lump all that good in with what is evil in the world and reject both as evil BUT then turn right around and use what you learned that is good anyways.

You're being a dishonest, illogical, and hypocritical in that.

And you're judging people who like to learn as if they HAVE to become proud and evil simply because they like to read. This is a wrong statement and it violates God's Word on judging people.

Men (and Women) learn from a variety of sources (including God and God's own Word) some good and some evil. It's not an all or nothing proposition as you've claimed. But then you don't do as you claim. You use the good you learned from books and teachers and the world and call it evil when it's not.

Information need not be evil simply because you didn't get it through a word of knowledge while sitting in the middle of a field.

I appreciate what the Lord has and is doing in your life but you've got some problems in your reasoning.

Yes, I know I sound foolish and illogical. But am I hypocritical because I trust the Lord to teach me? And because I don't lean to my own understanding and knowledge, nor to the understanding and knowledge of men? That I, in ALL my ways acknowledge him, who SURELY directs my paths?

I am not being dishonest at all. I learned the Truth from God himself, and no book taught me the Truth of his Word. The Truth can only be revealed, it cannot be brought about by study alone. The most studying can do is make you weary.

Jesus said that whoever comes to him is drawn by the Spirit of God, and he only reveals himself to whomever he wills. And He is the only way to the Father. ONLY! No other way, and no other name given among me whereby we must be saved.

So, the things that should be clear to see are hidden from the wise and prudent, but he has revealed them to babes.

May Jesus bless you.

Reminds me of the sunflower when you tell about the trees bending towards the sun. Sunflowers does much of the same as well, I think. :)
