true, but still ive seen God move in places a person wouldn't expect.
I can't deny that. But most people here would warn others of even setting foot inside a whole lot of places where people need God.

Personally, I think it is wiser to try to get the ones who come here to connect with their local Christians.

Well, that's unfortunate. Hopefully that man is doing well.

Also, have another sad panda.

You seriously think God would direct ANYONE here for the ____ that goes on here all the time?
God brought ME here, despite all the @#$% that goes on here.

What brought you here, besides entertainment?

Like you and about 30 others here, I like a good Dust-Up. I could not exist trying to attend a "proper" church.

But the fact that some see this as primarily entertainment certainly answers some questions

Because trials grow character. Like I said, I see it as exactly something God would do. In fact, it's biblical.
That's true, the way I used to react & handle situations are completely different now compared to in the past.

I just watched some dude in chat ask for prayer, and get completely ignored by everyone...It was sad because you could tell he actually was waiting quietly and patiently for about 10 minutes before he left. The people on the mic were so absorbed in pointless banter and themselves that they didn't notice i guess.. I would have said something, but he left before the person on the mic finally stopped talking... I think people on mic should be more mindful of the people who
are in the chat..for some of the people, this is all they have to fellowship with, and its kind of messed up if they cant even get something as simple as a prayer request.
..........(slaps hand on forehead and shakes his head in disappointment) we all are so involved in ourselves that we don't even see the least of these......

Then you should agree that the guy asking for prayer found just what God wanted him to find.... since He already knew he would be ignored.

That is exactly what I meant when I said it was probably a good thing no one noticed him. Now, God probably has him headed where he will fit in just fine.

So if you refuse to entertain angels unawares, God will send those angels elsewhere for hospitality?

If I saw him seeking a prayer request I would've prayed for him & encouraged him in anyway I could. Not ignored him like people did. God couldve done that to test others & see if they would care to uplift a brother, in which they obviously failed. It's not a good thing that members of the body of Christ ignored a brother. It just displays they need more spiritual growth.

Also Willie while I agree human interaction is good for us to say that God is not in this place and that it's a good thing he was ignored so he could go to an actual person for help is not true. I am a witness to how deeply God can move and heal a bleeding and hurting heart simply by the words spoken to them from a caring individual here.

Words have more power than most people realize and sometimes a simple word of encouragement is all that stands between life and death for a person seeking help here, God's love may not be that abundant in certain parts of this forum but the fruits of the words spoken to help encourage and heal others is abundant if one only has the eyes to perceive it

Amen, Blain. Frankly, I don't care where it happens; if someone in a strip club asks for prayer YOU PRAY FOR THEM!!!

i am just trying to hold back my anger here.... I mean why did we become Christians? Why do we claim to be love? why do we constantly preach of his love and his grace if we don't even care enough to stop bickering among ourselves and help a hurting soul? is this the church? is this what a Christian is? is this why the world calls us lying hypocrites and judgemental uncaring bible thumpers?

Yeah, I think it is..!

And don't apologize for righteous anger. Remember that when considering what would Jesus do, breaking out the whips and trashing the place is in the list of possibilities! :)

If it wasn't such a common thing among the church maybe I wouldn't be wanting to slam my fist on my desk right now but it just makes me so angry. I mean many chirstians have been saved for many years and consider themselves to be mature and grown in Christ yet how many show the love and heart of God? how many actually walk the talk? and how many lack the fruits of his heart? Why is it that a babe like me only being four years in knows and often shows the love and heart of God? I mean I don't mean to be boasting of myself as I can never take credit for any that he has shown and taught me but seriously is it up to the babes to show who he truly is these days?

This instant for all we know may have just given death a new life and this is not the love that I was shown and taught by God this is not what a Christian is or what they stand for. Ugh... I need to relax and breath... sorry for the angry outburst

God did say that in the last days even among His elect people would turn from His truth. I just wish we weren't such a glaring example of that :(

Consider this from J C Ryle in his book 'Startling Questions':

"Suffering is the diet of the Lord's family. "Whom the Lord loveth He chasteneth." "If ye be without chastisement, then are ye bastards, and not sons." "Through much tribulation we must enter the kingdom of God." When Bishop Latimer was told by his landlord that he had never had a trouble, "Then," said he, "God cannot be here." Suffering is a part of the process by -which the sons of God are sanctified. They are chastened to wean them from the world, and make them partakers of God's holiness. The Captain of their salvation was made perfect through sufferings, and so are they. There never yet was a great saint who had not either great afflictions or great corruptions. Well said Philip Melancthon, "Where there are no cares there will generally be no prayers."

I hope this may be of help to some on this forum.
