It is relevant that not all who say they are Christian, in earlier times and now, are believers with changed lives in Christ, and a common criticism heard from nonbelievers is that Christians in their churches are hypocrites. This should be taken into account. The gospel of salvation in Christ is the truth, it should come to others. But are things around us being dismissed or disregarded that Christian believers should pay attention to? Are the fruits of the Spirit that are to grow in changed lives showing? There are issues in this world, and we have responsibilities too, and our responsibilities should not be dismissed because we are sure we won't be staying here anyway. That is not a biblical position for us. And what should show, to not be seen as hypocritical, are love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and temperance. Repentance we would have would be turning us from sin, while love should be there to not hate the sinners that God cares for.
