Many of you say, act like a christian. How is this done. By projecting a high moral standard. You don't have to be a christian to do that. Any atheist or non-christian can do that. Many of you also make the asumption that the indidual is going around all day on the job talking about the Lod. You know that is not the case. Tell it like it is YOU have restricted yourself. You have chosen to be silent. Your reason is your own. You have silenced your own voice because YOU coose to whatever your reasoning may be, but it is usually due to fear of some repercussion or fear of what someone may think or say about you, not only at work, but anywhere you go. Just like you will do as society continues to constrict the voice of the body of Christ, until they. Silence you completely.
I can understand what you are saying about people silencing themselves. But, I don't think that all of us have done that. Yes, I am careful about what I say at work depending on who I am around. If a person at work asks me, though, I am like a gushing school girl talking about her new boyfriend--I can't seem to praise Him enough!

In my personal life, there is no filter. I talk about Him and how my life has changed so much since I accepted Him as my Savior. The only thing that holds me back is my limited knowledge of scripture. I am a new Christian and am working on memorizing scripture but, I can't quote book and verse like other people I know. I do carry a bible in my purse so I can refer to it when talking to people. I do try not to be too pushy, I don't want to push people away from me, but I still HAVE to talk to them about Him.

As far as "acting" like a Christian, I don't put on airs and act like I am better than other people. I am just me. I think I have said this before but, people have noticed a change in me. I have been told that I seem happier, calmer, more at peace, not easily agitated, more caring, more concerned for others. Other people just say there is something different that they cannot put their finger on. That is the perfect opening to tell them my story and what the Lord has done for me in my life. I am so happy to have the blessing of the Lord in my life and I will not be silenced about Him. I know there will come a time when believers will be persecuted (actually, we are already being persecuted) but, that won't stop me. Offending a person because I care about them and pray they accept the Lord into their lives is the least of my worries. I am more concerned about where they will spend eternity.

Wow, this ended up being longer than I planned. Sorry if I bored you to tears:eek:
