Getting stabbed qualifies as a nightmare. When I have nightmares I tend to tell hubby about them. By the time I'm halfway done explaining one. I'm laughing because they're like yours. They make so much sense during the dream, but so little sense when we're awake. So, if you're weird, you're my kind of weird. lol

I dreamed recently that college was about to start, and I was getting ready for that, but suddenly, before the sun had even risen, there was an important meeting I had to attend, and I was racing about getting ready for that. LOL I still, on occasion, have dreams where I'm walking through the hallways of junior high (7th and 8th grade for those who don't know the phrase) in my underwear and the bell rings so everyone swarms out of the classrooms to see me. I'm still trying to figure out if the Me in my dream is still in junior high or if it's 60-year-old Me. Either way, the same terror it had for me when I was in junior high getting that dream.

(I also get a kick how not even in my dreams am I ever naked. Just in my undies. lol)

Most people probably don't react to being stabbed with "Gee, how funny was THAT?"

I didn't think she was asking about the quality of the dream, but her reaction to that dream..... YMMV

It's going from finding-this-cute-baby-goat-and-taking-it-home kind of dream straight to getting-stabbed in the same dream. If our minds are on pleasant experiences they don't usually go from enjoyable to terrifying in 1 second. (Most dreams only last 1-4 seconds.)

Ever have an enjoyable I-can-fly (or your version of the fun) dream? Ever have a terrifying dystopian dream? How often do the two meld into the same dream? That's what was funny.

No right or wrong..... just different.

I have a very sarcastic sense of humor..... I have to work at not letting it get out too often.... that makes me sort of weird, too.

I gotta be honest... how that randomly escalated is actually really funny to me, too. Which I guess, judging by all the "normal" people's reactions, makes me also weird/morbid. Welcome to the club. We can be morbidly amused together. xD

Maybe in the dream you were actually Jesus and you replaced the goat as the sacrificial lamb? Oh wait, You said goat. Never mind my post :)
