Josiah Leming - One Last Song
"Waves of silver, waves of gold are coming down to take me,
To separate my body from my soul and Jesus either leaves or takes me.
Hopes of heaven, fears of hell, and what's the chance I'll make it.
All my other plans have failed, and I tried so hard to fake it."
This song kind of reminds me of how I live. Even though this isn't a Christian song, it still reminds me of how I sometimes live for myself rather for God. It reminds me of how I "try so hard to fake it" and fake my way into Christianity, with creating the expectation that I am happy and smiley all the time. Like I hide my feelings in a way.
I think the song is about how someone may think they have their life all together, but when they see our lives broken and falling apart, it's when they go to God (like their breaking points). It's a beautiful song <3
