Read an interesting scripture this morning, "Sees our afflictions and KNOWING OUR SOUL in adversities." PS. 31:7
Yesterday in the Psalms I found David's words "My soul clings to the Lord". Ps. 63:8

And I realized that there were days when my faith in words just weren't there, my mind was numb, and it was only my soul (feelings) that clung to the Lord. Without knowing just what my feelings were, I just let my being, my sometimes mindless being, just cling. I am not fighting, I am not necessarily full of faith that moment, I am not even feeling strong. I AM ONLY CLINGING.

Then this morning the words "knows our soul" was like a confirmation. He sees what you can't even describe. He sees the heart of a person just clinging, and knows what it is in that heart. And it is very nice to know that sometimes it is the most peaceful and easy thing to do - just cling.

Also must add that a person must really KNOW the One they are clinging to. Otherwise, their clinging is weak and full of doubt.

I know exactly what you mean in fact I didn't even know of that verse where David's soul clings to the Lord It's just something I naturally developed. There are times when things are unbearable and I feel so utterly weak my faith is just not there sadness just piles up worry and doubt continue on rampage inside me and yet my heart instinctively just clings to him and suddenly it's like all of that disappears. Actually interesting that you would post this because this experience happened to me just last night lol

There are also times when I am talking to God and sometimes I am so weary that even in my own mind as I am talking to him I can't finish my words and inside I feel so broken and so weak and sad that I can't even express to God what I am feeling and what I want to say to him, it is then that I sort of send him what I feeling instead of speaking it. Like imagine emailing and instead of clicking send with a message of words you click send to God with the message of the feeling inside no words need to be spoken.

And he clings back, so even if I lose my grip, he does not.

I just noticed the clinging verse too the other day, and it struck me. So neat to notice your post now. Thank you.
