I speak English, and wanted to know a different language, but could not grasp it. Mostly Spanish! Not to long ago though, I have found interest in speaking Hebrew..in which I have been able to learn some, especially by singing it!

Chinese tongue twister is very simple and short. It has only 3 sentences:
妈 妈 骑 马
mā ma qí mǎ
Mother is riding a horse.

马 慢
mǎ màn
The horse is moving slowly.

妈 妈 骂 马
mā ma mà mǎ
Mother scolds the horse.

I speak a little Chinese Mandarin I forgot another tongue twister but this one I sort of remembered.

I dabble in Vietnamese. French Missionaries gave them their written language based on their tonal speaking.

I would love to be frequent in Spanish.

I always have been attracted to language's.

I live in the Tampa Bay area (largely Cuban), so the School District began teaching us English kids Española in the second grade. After awhile they stopped that program, but by then I knew enough to continue communicating.

Spanish was fun, and I enjoyed being somewhat bilingual. But since I had a stroke three years ago, I have lost much of it. My wife (who speaks Spanish well) and I went back to night school, but it just never would come back. I found I was still losing it (and the ability to concisely speak English, too) as time went on. Now, I can still remember a few simple things in Spanish, but I'm afraid it is all I can do anymore to just keep abreast of the English I need for everyday life. I keep one of the local Latino stations on my truck radio, but I can tell that I am missing more of what they are saying as the months go by.

I could once speak German and Korean, but that is fast becoming a thing of the past.

I speak Spanish. I grew up speaking it along with English. My dad and grandma only speak Spanish so it was pretty easy to learn. :D

I was born in Vietnam, I spoke English, Vietnamese and French by the time I was 5. I came to the US a few years later and lost the Vietnamese and French language. So now I only speak English.....I really should learn some Vietnamese, I would like to go back and visit in a few years.

Well, the Spanish was obvious. And I spent more than a year in Korea in the Military. I guess some guys managed speaking no Korean, but I am a bit of a Language freak, so I just HAD to immerse myself in the local community.

The German came because not only is my family of German descent on both my father's side, and my mother's, but my wife (A Language Arts Major.) spent three years in Germany teaching GI's. So she was all gung ho that we speak a fair amount of German around the house.

Then, we bought a Frische Gabrante Mandeln (I probably spelled that wrong, but it means: Fresh Roasted Almonds) concession, and spent 12 years traveling half a year, to fairs, shows, and events selling those in the Wisconsin area. Wisconsin is heavily German and Italian, so Oktoberfest events were a natural, and the speaking of German worked well for us.

I speak a tiny bit of Armenian and French. English is my most fluent language, then Arabic and then Hebrew.

I can't write/read the Armenian script, but in Western Armenian you can say hello, how are you? Like this: Parev, inch beses?
French: Bonjour, ça va?
Arabic: مرحبا كيف حالك؟
Hebrew: היי מה קורה?

Here is a fun tongue twister in Arabic: هذا المشمش مش من مشمشتنا .. Transliterated into English letters: hada el mishmish mish men mishmishetna.. LOL, and it means: This apricot didn't come from our apricot tree.

Hebrew tongue twister: (This is actually a verse from the Bible, Genesis 49:19) גד גדוד יגודנו והוא יגוד עקב - gad gidoud yigoudenu, v'hu yagoud akev ... I like the way the NASB renders it: ""As for Gad, raiders shall raid him, But he will raid at their heels."

Languages are amazing, I love learning languages and talking about them. God bless you all.

Interesting. I don't think I've come across Armenian before. I looked it up to find the script, quite impossible to read for a non- native
