just so those who care, knows, I say in the chat room that my speakers are off, not to hurt
peoples feelings but to let them know that I cant hear them talking. My birds hate speakers.
They think a stranger is in the house and it makes them crazy. Two of them want to fight
and the third one runs to the corner to hide her face. Sometimes, I can turn the speakers
on if they are on the patio. but, anyways, sorry if anyone got their feelings hurt about
that.

You aren't the only one. I actually have speakers off 95% of the time. You aren't obligated by any means to have them on. Its only one facet of chat, and you have every right to not join it, whether it be a situation that prevents you, or just lack of interest, as in my case.
Also, be aware, at least half, it not more, of the chat roomers don't do forums, and vice versa. There is only a small overlap of people who consistently use both, so posting forum things for chat roomers won't get you as far as you may think. Just a useful tidbit.
