I do understand what you mean, I think this is what can happen over time when old
age and difficulties creep up on us.
As ive been looking after my aunt and had to deal with her going in and out of
hospital, wondering if should would die each time. It’s made me look around at all the
stuff, both from a practical point if I end up losing the house, also from a realisation
that must of it was useless and had no real worth.
So every so often I have cleared out the junk, worthless stuff. I keep things which have sentimental
value. I feel a lot better for doing this. It’s given me piece of mind, it’s easier to manage the
house and it’s made me realise most stuff we accumulate is of little value compared to the
value of things like life, friendship, family, etc.
Its still nice to have teddies though!
