For me extreme sport is going to bed every night. And, if some of you wondered, not a sexual way. I think extreme sport is a selfish quest for an adrenaline rush. You put your own life at risk and possibly others. You also use vast resources on this short lived rush, and even more if something goes wrong. We should use our lives to serve God and each other, not to waste it on foolish risk taking.
In heaven, I doubt if secular accomplishments will get accolades and adoration like it does here.
As an athlete, I marvel however at some how they can achieve such high skill levels, yes and without dying in the effort. I was just explaining to someone this week how I trained all my life in close contact weapons use. But I never pursued the use of nunchucks because it takes a lot of bruises and impacts to the head before you get good at using them.
If you scroll through the collection of my and other's posts in this thread you'll find plenty of videos that cause no risk to anyone.
