Fast forward a few years to a time when society no longer allows Christians to voice their beliefs --- within the confines of the law, that is. Christians are the dissenters, the renegades and the hunted. Anyone who dares question the World Peace Alliance is subject to imprisonment, death or being sent to a hospital for reprogramming (read: deprogramming any sort of belief system contrary to non-belief in a higher power).

High school student (and Christian) Patrick "Patch" Johnson is having nightmares. Unfortunately, these nightly visitations are based on a terrible mistake he made that ended up causing the deaths of countless other Christians. Seeking an escape from an underground hideout among fellow believers, Patch recklessly risked the safety of family and friends without thinking (or praying) first. After having been caught by authorities, Patch was placed with a family of "good" non-believing citizens set on destroying what little faith remained in his heart and mind. While it's tough living with the antagonistic remarks of Erin, the female teen of the foster family household, going to school is even worse. As the only believer, Patch is ridiculed, rejected and continually ostracized by peers and teachers alike.

When Patch pushes a bit too far, the authorities from World Peace step in, and Patch is removed from school and hospitalized. After being drugged and interrogated, Patch does some real soul searching; over time he is able to befriend others wrongly institutionalized as well. Former school acquaintances add mystery and excitement to Patch's hospital stay. Eventually, he meets another undercover believer known as a "tattoo rat." Patch's escape begins to take shape, and at one point he has to decide whether or not to turn back and risk his own neck for the sake of another teen. For Patch, it's a nightmarish replay of his escape attempt some months earlier. This time, however, Patch makes a different choice.

When he does eventually run, it is for the right reasons. Yet still more challenges are in store for Patch as he searches for a safe place to hide amongst a diverse group of Christians. As he attempts to find his place, gossip, judgment and selfishness all play their respective roles in Patch's spiritual journey. By the final scene, it's obvious that Patch has reached a place where no enemy, demonic or fleshly, can prevail, for the battle within his heart already has been won.

Anj:

Hi. So you mean you want to remove it? or you'll still keep it as it is, maybe? or the other option would I guess be to add something small or ornate and tasteful more to your liking now, etc.

(We are in Ontario, by the way, so hi from Tim Horton - land!)

Take care.
