I use the cell phone, I wish I could set it to not get increasingly louder though, I hear it from the first ring, but it gets loud so fast I probably wake up the girl next door before I am able to turn it off

I used an internet alarm clock I found because I became accustomed to ignoring my alarm sound. So new sound plus 2 big speakers = I woke up instantly.

My alarm clock works well, when I wake up to music rather than an alarm, I don't get the urge to ruin the object emitting sound

Because I'm no longer a morning person, anything or anyone that emits a sound that causes me to wake up, I want to break. :D Its not the thought that counts here!

The first few seconds of the day, where the alarm is going off and I'm trying to shut it off in the dark, are interesting.

I remember that used to happen to me. But a lot of my electronic junk have little lights that never shut off so those make enough light, including the light from the digital clock numbers.

that would be why one should not leave stuff in stand- by (it actually use electricity in that mode).

I have a laptop that has a bright blue blinking light when it hibernates -,-

:)My power strip has a lightg my PS3 has a light, my stereo, & my clock, not to mention the street light outside peeks enough for me to tell where my window is.

Have you ever woken up & felt completely upside down because you don't recognise where you are?
