The gospel of peace is not a gospel that promises happiness in this world. The gospel of peace is not of this world. The gospel of peace is not cowardice or fear. The gospel of peace doesn't say that you can sin as long as you are covered by the blood of Jesus. The gospel of peace is not accepting sin as another pitfall of man, just to say you are a sinner saved by grace. Sinners will not be saved by grace. But if a person repents of sin and trusts Jesus, that what he said is true, and then follows him, that person will be saved. Hear what I am saying, anyone who sins is not under grace, but under the law. Anyone who is under grace is not under the law. Yet, Jesus did not come to do away with the law, he came to fulfill it.
This is the gospel of peace: We were once corrupt, children of Satan, moved and provoked by him. We were on our way to hell, and our minds were HOSTILE with God. This hostility began long ago by the sin of Adam. So, by that sin, death came into the world. So the world was subjected to death because of the transgression of Adam. Now, since death reigned in the world, through sin, LIFE had to come and reign over death through the righteousness of Jesus Christ. So the gospel of peace, is the gospel of RESTORATION OF PEACE WITH GOD. For this reason, God sent his son Jesus Christ into the world, so that he could DESTROY THE ENMITY that was set between Man and God. The chastisement of our peace was put on Jesus Christ. So, in order to have peace with God, and so that you are not destroyed with the world, you have to comply with his TERMS OF PEACE.
His terms of peace is not doing good deeds. His terms of peace is accepting his Peace Offering. Jesus is that peace offering, he gave his life to bring peace between God and man.
I will explain it for clarity. Two nations are at war, and the war has been violent ever since one man came between the nations to cause strife. So, now there is a long war that began. And it was impossible for peace to come between the two nations. So, one of the Heads of the nations sent his son to the other nation, to give them his Peace Terms. But when the Head sent his son, the other nation, killed the Son, not knowing it was the Head's son. He sent his only son as an ambassador of peace, but he was killed, for simply saying what he was told to say, and doing what he was told to do. The Head knew the hearts of that nation, and that his son would be killed, but he also knew that he would be raised again. What an awesome God we serve!!!
If you want to have peace with God, then you have to accept Jesus Christ, who was his peace. His blood was the release of a New Deal. His blood brings peace to anyone who is washed in it. Have peace with God, turn from sin, and accept Jesus Christ, the Peace Offering for the world.
