Thanks...sorry I made such a fuss. I didn't mean to, really. And I actually learned a new thing because I'd never heard of that problem before...so thank you.
Just a side note........ If that happens to anyone here who has a vehicle with one of those little carbon rods on top of the distributor rotor...... You can cut off an appropriately sized nail or screw or bolt to replace that rod, and it will work fine. I would replace it as soon as you can with the correct part, but it will even work for months that way.

many years ago, when hub and I were commercial fishing, we decided to go to the beach
one day along A1A in Ponte Vedra, and take a quick dip, when we came back to the truck,
it had been broken into through a broken window; anyhoo, all that was missing was hubby's
fishing jacket and pants: well, to make the story short, as we drove home, I looked out the
window and saw hub's stuff obviously thrown-out on the side of the road, they stunk to
high-heaven with shrimp and fish -
obviously this thieve's nightmare!!!

Thanks...sorry I made such a fuss. I didn't mean to, really. And I actually learned a new thing because I'd never heard of that problem before...so thank you. And I'm sorry your truck got vandalized. My car and my previous car were broken into before with broken windows so I know what it feels like. They didn't really take anything from mine either except my cheap $5 sunglasses and my cassettes. I remember that I did miss my cassettes though.

I had a car once that someone broke the window out of and then stole a pair of sunglasses. I know exactly how you feel. LOL
