Personally, I would much rather see a law that says a person must have an IQ over 85, and a couple of years of Constitutional study before being allowed to vote, but that would be un-Constitutional, as well.

What are we going to do? How has your community been effected by the deer population? Until a few years ago, the daily limit on deer here was 2 and there was no season limit. The deer population was growing, but the rate of increase was small. We had a few auto deer collisions. Then came a season limit of 5. Today there only a few families in the area that haven't had a collision. There are five families on my mile and a half road, and every one of them have had at least one collision in the last 18 months. One man drives 35 miles to and from work, and he has had three collisions. All collisions have occurred on the open highway and during the early evening hours. It is rare to drive down any road during these hours and not see a dozen or more deer grazing along the roadside.

In my research, I found that the Florida FWC changed the limits to allow more trophy bucks to develop. When are they going to wake up to the overpopulation of deer?

More deer wandering around our town because the city keeps tearing down woods to drive out the homeless or build new homes. We get bucks walking by/hanging out around our house all the time. But can't shoot in town so the meat wanders on.

I know I already covered this but I just feel like it's a liability to let someone carry a weapon if he hasn't demonstrated that he can use it safely. Same reason it's a bad idea to hand someone a driver's license if he hasn't demonstrated that he can operate a vehicle safely. Especially with a handgun. And untrained person could easily miss his intended target and hit an innocent bystander. Also liberals have guns too, they just don't feel the need to strap on an AK-47 to go to McDonald's

They are under a lot of pressure with loss of habitat like this.
Thank you for your post.

You have been allowed to have a computer and post on a Christian forum, even though you are reprobate and have little to nothing to say that is positive and productive.
By your own measure you should take that to heart to act on it lest you demonstrate to all here what hypocrisy looks like?:):coffee:;):giggle:

The hyperbole is totally unnecessary. I don't know of anyone that feels the need to "strap on an AK-47 to go to McDonalds"....
Your point is well taken on the benefits of training for anyone that wants to carry, concealed or open. Denigrating conservatives to try to make a point is tasteless.
There are a LOT of things that could be said about liberals and guns, but political ideology should not be a dividing line on a God-given, Constitutionally enumerated/protected right.

Cool story bro do you have an argument that's relevant to the topic here?

Anyway, I know I already covered this but the FBI knew Omar mateen was a terrorist and he still had no problem legally purchasing an AR-15 with which to murder 80 Americans.. there's a reason why letting just anyone have a firearm is a liability

That argument doesn't really work because by that same logic, we should just get rid of all those since people are going to break them anyway right?

Pretty much that is what the liberals have done.

That was a red herring
Nope, not to me and other law abiding citizens. If the laws, gun laws and others were enforced i believe things would be much better all around. Not perfect but better.

Maybe we need a law that says anyone who is tied to terrorist organizations is not allowed to have a firearm?

Depends on who decides who or what is a terrorist organization. Broken heartedly I consider the FBI to now be terrorist. Enforce the laws with in the guides of the Constitution.

That's part of the problem with the proposed Oregon measure that's up for vote.
They want people to demonstrate they can safely use a gun via classes, BEFORE they can own the gun but they aren't offering such classes or you have to bring your own gun to the class, for practice. How can one prove competency if we can't buy or borrow a gun for a class that may or may not ever be offered??
This measure will make it impossible to ever purchase a gun with that runaround.

At least to get a driver's license they provide classes and vehicles for practice!
