I like the ergonomics of the Sig Sauer.
Taurus makes really compact handguns for concealed carry.
It would be best to go to a gun shop and actually handle the different handguns to see which fits you best. And then shoot them if they have a range to do so.

Check out the action, see how smooth or how difficult it is to rack the slide.
If there is a hammer you can check the trigger pull without letting it dry fire onto the firing pin. Some of them have internal hammers so you can't check the trigger without dry firing.
See how it fits your hand. See how big or small it is.
Some of the things you may not like about the handgun can be worked out by a gunsmith, different hand grips etc... But you may as well start off with something that you really like and then further customize it later, if you need to/want to.

I used to own an old 870 back in the day (amongst others). They’re reliable pumpers. Sadly, I don’t own any pumps at the moment, although I do have a 930 SPX. I see certain advantages in pump action shotguns though. First and obviously, is the simple reliability of them. In addition, you have the option of certain specialty loads that some semi autos can’t digest.
For instance, ultralight recoil loads, dragon’s breath, bird bombs…etc. Some of those specialty rounds can be problematic in a semi auto. However, they both have pros and cons to consider. Btw some of the older 870’s lack a later introduced safety feature that doesn’t allow you to pump fire. The newer ones have to have the trigger resqueezed after every pump. The old one that I had allowed you to simply hold down the trigger and fire with the pump. Not sure what you’re looking for though.
