er, why are you implying anyone is throwing stones???

I am a librarian, I deal with books ALL the time. OCcult books in the 133 secrion. Fantasy and magic in the fiction section.
Harry Potter is in the childrens section.

They are both entertainment and magic but no you wont find Harry Potter in the 133s. It would be n the 800s under literature if it was shelved by Dewey system.
Magic tricks are shelved in the 700s with books about films and games.

does that answer your question, or are you just being nitpicky.

Ive just read Ghost Girl by Torey Hayden. Its a true story and quite creepy. THAT one is shelved at 362.76

Under education. Parents of Ghost Girl were apparently satanists who sacrificed and molested their children. Read it to find out and be horrified this goes on in america but its fine because their excuse is they are practising their religion and allowed by law to worship any way they like.

Can you please explain to me (I am only a stupid German and not a wise American); what does a book about Satanists have to do with Harry Potter?
By the way, the volumes 1-3, as well as 5-6 of Harry Potter are in good hands in the children's book department, the volumes 4 better in the adult book department (in my opinion). I'm not sure about Book 7.
Satanists who commit crimes also belong to arrest, brought to justice, and convicted. In the case of child abuse, I do not think judges should go under 20 years in prison (for one case).
JW have committed several cases of child abuse in the United States, they have been covered up by their leaders. Both the perpetrators and the leadership of the JW were convicted. Religious freedom is a great asset, but anyone who abuses it pays the price!

Not of any form of magic, but of some, because I have read a lot.
Which is irrelevant. HP is a book that focuses on the idea of magic. It doesn't have to teach real spells to be about magic.
It's about training people to be comfortable and familiar with the ideas. And creating a sense of curiosity.

I am reading Harry Potter and the Sorceror's Stone and I am at Chapter 12 and I really do like it. It says the same thing as the movie does :).
