We took the bus to the high school swimming pool as well. That was each time a big adventure :D

we had swimming every two weeks too :D don't remember how far I swam though, but I think I might have taken the one mile too

I was so proud of that certificate. My mom and dad were proud too! There were only about 10 children who joined the 'exam' for the 1 mile (actually 1600m) certificate.

I don't now if they tested us for that, but when I was that young, I could swim the 4 laps we did for 'warm up' before we got to play faster than any other kid.

I think I was the only id in my class that bothered to take any of the certificates

I'm pretty sure they didn't even give out certificates for things like that here.

Lol. Well, I don't think they gave out anything... but I remember very few things from when I was that young, so I could be entirely wrong too.

Lol. I loved swimming too, but I just wanted to swim.. I didn't care if I got anything for it, and I wouldn't do it competitively.
