It was this thread that reminded me that we are indeed called to stand out from the masses (with our thoughts), so I chose this avatar. (I hesitated though, because the little guy was yellow, and it made me sad because I'm Asian/ with the Asian stereotypes and all..hmm :D) BWell.

I never thought of Asians as yellow............???

His God-given instincts cry out for companionship with others of his kind, others who can understand his longings, his aspirations, his absorption in the love of Christ; and because within his circle of friends there are so few who share his inner experiences he is forced to walk alone.

He finds few who care to talk about that which is the supreme object of his interest
This resonates deeply with me. I will begin to speak, my animation and happiness lighting up my spirit, the person I am speaking to begins to light up wondering about the joy I am about to reveal; then they realize I am speaking about my Lord, their countenance falls, their interest shuts off and they shut down, I end up talking to a wall. I end up hurt. Why don't they want to talk about what the Lord has done? How can the most beautiful part of my life shut down their countenance? Then the discussion moves to superficial topics and I walk alone, trusting that there is a lessonin the loneliness that my Father is teaching me.
