And not to be that OP, but I respectfully ask posters to keep Trump discussions elsewhere.

If you want to have a political argument about the man, there are plllllenty of other places on this site where you can have the equivalent of a bar fight. I'm afraid this is a different sort of establishment. :p

How did I know somebody would go there eventually?

Funny part is, people would say that regardless of their disposition towards him. Such is the nature of political power.
I was surprised that no one had said Donald Trump,Its true,he Is misunderstood whether his character Is characterized as pro or con.

As much as we all desire to be understood, one of the reasons I like the prayer of
Saint Francis, is because he expresses the desire to understand rather than to be
understood. Seeking to understand the other is better by far because it helps us
move beyond our natural inclination to be too self focused. If all work at better
understanding the other, what possible problem could not be overcome when
understanding is achieved? If you think about it, all strife is caused by lack of
understanding on some level. Some wonder, what good did God's admonition to
Adam and Eve do if they did not understand what death was? And yet surely they
knew what life was, for they were in possession of it at its best, walking with Him.

I'm going to deviate again from much of the discussion here and say I think many who have issues being understood think too much of themselves to begin with.

Not all, but many.

I don't recall being so wise as you are at your age. Probably because I wasn't :D

I also really like how Shakespeare said that if we knew ourselves we cannot be untrue to another. Actually he said it differently, putting it in terms of being true to yourself, but how is that possible without self knowledge?

This above all: to thine own self be true,
And it must follow, as the night the day,
Thou canst not then be false to any man.

I don't like when people say, if they want to act like an animal then treat them like an animal." Animals are more humane than most humans.
Maybe I am showing my age,or my attempt at humor fell short .

Clint Eastwood in the movie - Gran Torino definitely wasn't misunderstood.

I thought that may be what you meant :) I like this version of same song by Santa Esmeralda... well, there are a few versions, some much longer, this one is only ten and a half minutes long, and does not have all those dancing Spanish ladies in it who make me realize where Picasso may have gotten some of his ideas haha :D

I also wanted to post this version of the same song I posted of Don McLean. Here
Roy Orbison sings one of his most famous songs with Canadian artist K.D. Lang :)
