Titanic: Never seen it.

Star Wars: The original trilogy was a fantastic, modern-day Homeric epic. The prequels were goofy, but fun in small doses.

Passion: Very artfully done, but it's not something I could watch more than once.

Jesus of Nazareth: Never seen this particular miniseries. My favorite Biblical film is probably The Greatest Story Ever Told, simply for Charlton Heston's ornery take on John the Baptist.

Second Chance?: Wha?

Facing the Giants?: Come again?

I'm watching The Elephant Man right now. Wonderful movie, but it leaves me feeling melancholy. Luckily, I have some of those Hostess Cupcakes with the white swirlies on top for later. Probably not a good idea to eat those right before bed, but I can't just NOT eat them.

John Merrick.....ahhh love that movie Cobs.....ya know....he was one of the nicest men.....I really admire how in spite of being ridiculed for his appearance, he loved others and had such a beautiful kind personality......he was soooo talented too......remember those buildings he made from, I think cardboard?......would love to have met him...

He was an absolute gem of a man. Joseph Merrick was born with a pleasant, urbane temperament, and an appreciation for art and the stage that eclipsed that of even the most refined Victorian noble. All of the tragedy he had to endure did nothing to quell his love for beautiful things. That's really amazing, because most people have to be "bred" into appreciating beautiful things, through years of school and social encouragement, and usually not even that suffices. For Joseph, it came natural, and not even 20 years of the utmost degradation could suppress it. Joseph Merrick was a gentleman in the truest sense of the word.

I'm actually such a fan of Merrick that, in my wallet, I carry around a print of a little poem he would attach to his stationary. He's one of my heroes!

Joseph Merrick indeed....he was incorrectly called John in the film......btw Anthony Hopkins played the part of the doctor exceptionally I thought......ahhh yes the little poem......"Tis true my form is something odd, But blaming me is blaming God. Could I create myself anew, I would not fail in pleasing you. If I could reach from pole to pole, Or grasp the ocean with a span, I would be measured by the soul, The mind's the standard of the man."...........he is one of my heroes too Cobs :)

I just got thru watching Misson to Mars on my VCR. I liked it, but I think the ending was kinda silly. The Maritans seeded the earth. Come on now. But that's hollywood:rolleyes:
