Living in New Orleans myself, I have to wonder. Walking down Bourbon St., I see a number of topless bars, voodoo shops, and grenades in the hands of those who almost certainly aren't 21. God has more to be worried about here than a parade.
Worse, we hear about murders daily. The violence here is incredible. The gulf between rich and poor is... well, most people can't imagine it until they see a mansion next to a hut.
It was mostly poor, black people who lost their homes, livelihoods, and lives in Katrina. If God was trying to stop a parade, he overdid it. I wonder if people know how many churches he destroyed.
