Hey y’all,

I recently went to see a psychologist to cure myself of having sex dreams. Every night I go to sleep and it’s the same dang story.
Now I go to see the Psychologist and she tells me that this is completely normal! I’ve prayed about it, but nothing seems to work. Doesn’t anyone know of a Doctor that could cure my dreams and not some quack pervert psychologist that thinks it’s normal!

It seems you have a strong misunderstanding of dreams. And psychiatry. And what a pervert is.
If you are practicing abstinence it actually makes sense to have sex dreams. Hormones build up and need released. Without being given a release they will find a way, through dreams. Also higher levels of testosterone can cause these problems as well, or make them worse. Dreams are not a problem, they are a symptom. You can't "cure" dreams. Dreams are a reflection of what's going on within you. Again, a symptom.

Psychiatry isn't about fast cures. It's about taking time to dig in and explore ones self to discover the root problem. Once discovered you then work on resolving that root issue. It often takes time as You are actually responsible for much of the work. Mental health professionals are merely there to help guide you to finding things out and giving advice and suggestions.

Saying sex dreams are normal does not make one a pervert. I'd wager that most people in their lives will have at least one sex dream. Especially as a teen, when their hormones are going wild.

If you're having an issue with sex dreams, rather than falsely accusing people of perversion and looking for a quick "cure" why not go to the source? Yourself. That's where the problem lies. Get educated on the matter. All of your focus is outward and pointing fingers, name calling and expecting quick results and not trying to learn anything. To me that's the bigger issue.
