You're stuck on a plane with a 1 eyed 1 horned giant purple people eater, as a renowned scientist you have some idea: Do you throw an experimental liquid that might make it retreat indefinitely OR use a tried and true knock out gas that will make you & everyone on board pass out but who knows if it knocks the monster out!!?
