Titles of Christ

Here is a fun and informative challenge for you all.
List a title for Christ or the messiah found in the scriptures.
When you start looking into this you discover there are lots of them,
each revealing another aspect of who and what our wonderful savior is.
This can be one word or a descriptive phrase.
List the title and the scriptural passage and try not to
duplicate the same title someone else has posted.


I will start with the oldest title for the promised savior:


‘her seed” (I like to think of this as Seed of the woman.)


Gen 3:15 And I will put enmity
Between you and the woman,
And between your seed and her seed;
He shall bruise you on the head,
And you shall bruise him on the heel."

This title is both the name of an ancient city and an old title for the messiah.

Shiloh

Gen 49:10 "The scepter shall not depart from Judah, Nor the ruler's staff from between his feet, Until Shiloh comes, And to him shall be the obedience of the peoples.

Immanuel

Isa 7:14 "Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, a virgin will be with child and bear a son, and she will call His name Immanuel.

And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor,
