There's hardly ever tornadoes where I am and if so it's VERY rare and not really fatal. So I can never imagine.

Hope you will be able to make it through though. Does this happen every year? (Shows how much I watch the news).

Yes the storms are still in South and moving upward to my area.
We normally don't get the horrible tornado, etc, but can be very
close enough to do damage. Still keep praying everyone. ~ J~K~2
Praying for you, JK2. I really do hope the storms do not make it to you. Thank you so much for checking on me, I know I have not been posting much lately--gearing up for the end of the school year is crazy--but, I have been checking in. Blessings to you my friend.

We get tornado warnings on a fairly regular basis in Arkansas. That doesn't mean that we will actually get any but, there is a good chance of them. Spring is the worst time for tornadoes where I live and the season has only started:(

Wow, it takes a good amount of courage to face something like that every year never knowing what will happen. :(

I've been thinking about you and hope you can get through this without any damage. Sorry to hear about the person you knew who died.

Thank God our sisters are well.....toska..been praying for you...Elizabeth....I see you up there too...
I have no idea how people who dont know God go through this kind of thing....two days to go and im gonna
keep praying for a quiet time for all........ive been through..hurricanes and even earthquakes...but tornados
I think are the worst of all and I never even experianced one....keep the faith ladies Gods got you..:) :) :)
Thank you for your prayers. I agree, when a tornado did touch down very close to me, I was crying and praying like crazy and I wasn't even a Christian then. I am now and have complete faith that what God wills is going to happen. If He decides it is my time, I am glad to know that I will be spending eternity with Him.

Thank you for the prayers, flowerof3. I pray that there will be no more loss of life if we do have more storms. I feel so terrible for the families of those that were killed. All I can think is "did they know Jesus?". I am a fairly new Christian, less than a year, but I have learned very quickly to trust in God. There have been so many blessings in my life in the past year, how could I not have faith in Him? I only wish I had not waited so long to have a real relationship with Him. I am grateful He never gave up on me:)

Blessings

Tornado took it pretty bad in the southern part of Arkansas. Just read it.

Hope everything's okay. :(
I spoke with a friend who was 2 miles away, in their safe room. Said their home
vibrated. It is brick. After storm was over and came out of safe room, rain poured
down and a water moccasin swam by them as they were coming out. Her husband
did get it killed.

I have been praying for the clean up that has to begin and for trucks to get in
and haul away ... will take long time for all this to take place. So sad and we feel
so helpless. Prayer is all we can do and donate to legit organizations.

Thanks for thinking I am courageous but, it is something you get used to. Like people who live where there are earthquakes or hurricanes. It is just a part of life here. I love living in Arkansas, would not dream of living anywhere else.

Thank you for your thoughts, so far I have not suffered any damage where I live this year. We did get some damage a few years ago--damage to our camper, had to replace our roof, cleaned up a ton of debris. But, if we do get more damage, we will rebuild and thank God for our lives. As far as the material things, they can all be replaced.

Thank you for your condolences for my husband's friend who lost his aunt. I will be sure to let him know.

I don't think your question is to me. But I wanted to tell you it is a rarity for us. We
did have one back in the 1940's. It was real...

Now we get some that appear to have been but NOAA and experts say they can't
be called Tornado. We do get damaging winds, trees down, ( a lot ) and power lines.
I have photo of some hail we got here about 2 mos. ago and that was very unusual.
WV in my area is protected by hills for the most part. Southern WV is more flat and
they really get hit harder than we do.

It appeared we are going to get severe storms. But it seems to be moving up into
Ohio and on in to Mich. But we do have flood watch.

Irregardless what anyone says, only God has control over what happens and we
must pray for those who do not know Him and repent of our sins. The Earth is
beginning to have labor pains and before Christ returns, this is our sign.

Since you don't watch news, are you aware of the sink holes? Mud slides. ?
Been the most unusual time in my lifetime. Never thought I would live to see
prophecy fulfilled. And it isn't over yet. We must share Jesus with all who
have not received Him as Savior. These are our signs of time the Bible speaks
of. God bless and be safe.

I am so glad you were able to speak to your friend and that they are all okay. Yes, sitting through a tornado is scary, scary, scary! Our house shook like crazy (brick house) and it sounded like the roof was being torn off. Thank goodness that did not happen. We did have to replace the roof but, that is nothing compared to what other people are going through.

Don't feel helpless, keep praying. There will be plenty of help sent and you are right about donating to legit organizations. When we had a tornado here, there were people from all over the country that came to help. My church and several others housed several people during that time--locals with no place to stay and the wonderful people who came to help out. It is amazing how people come together in the wake of a disaster. I pray that many find their way to Jesus through this terrible time.

You are right Toska... People see the love of Jesus at a time when so many have lost all.
There will always be someone blaming God and find it difficult to understand the Earth is
expressing the horrendous things that man has done to this Country. God does take His
hand of protection away when we have been unfaithful to Him. It is all the more important
to be sure those who do find Christ through these times, we can follow up with them and
help them grow in Wisdom and Knowledge of why Christ had to come to atone for our
sins. I know this is a tall order and hard for many to understand, but Christian Chat is
here for people to grow and share with one another the mercies of our great God ~
Again, agreeing in prayer for the storms that are still in the making for rest of week.

God bless and be safe....
