Trump is a thespian. And he's pretty good at it.

During Trump's tenure even conspiracy theorists stopped focusing on the true sources and wielders of power. They were all concentrating on him, gleefully recounting his latest gaffe and anticipating what he would pull next.

He had one real job and he did it well. He was an excellent distraction and entertainer.
yep, the perfect distraction. meanwhile, america drifts away form God more and more...

Funny, I thought it was Hillary who was the lespian. 😄

Did you hear? Trump finally announced his return to the run for his stolen office.

It kinda otta be the other way around because you need the programs when you get old - over 30 and the dems seem to want to help people more than the repubs.
It bothers me sometimes when this argument is put forth that liberals want to help people more than conservatives. It's demonstrably untrue. Conservatives routinely give more to charities than do liberals.
In addition, what liberals call help is usually just a transfer of wealth and leads to a cycle of dependency and poverty. Their policies actually encourage this.
Which is actually better for an individual? To receive enough aid to barely get by or to get short term aid and help to excel by one's own efforts? The economic benefits are obvious. But emotional and psychological benefits are also incredible.
I don't know any conservatives who do not want to help people. Because we live in a fallen world, there are times when we all need help. But we would rather have a safety net and not a hammock for people to fall on.

You don't know any conservatives who do not want to help people? I know plenty!

I also know plenty liberals who do not want to help people. Every political party has them.

Where have you been, that you have never met any stingy conservatives? Maybe I should move there.

That's interesting that of all that I wrote you focus on that.
I live in a small, rural southern town. People are simple, hardworking, and pleasant. They check in on each other and care for one another. It's far from perfect but exactly as I have described it.
Also, I didn't mention political parties, but ideologies.

But Republican is not an ideology. It is a political party.

It has changed a lot, and a lot of people who used to be Republicans don't believe anything even close to what the Republican party stands for today. But the Republican party is what it is, not what it was.

I understand what you're saying though. It's kind of like "I don't know any REAL Christians who believe that way."

Alas there is no such thing as a Republican ideology. Just a bunch of us who used to be republicans, back when the Republican party was sane, but don't really have a political party to affiliate with anymore.

In an emergency everyone wants to help someone doesn't matter race, gender, political party or religion.

As an older person I get sick of the political side of Repubs wanting to cut the entitlement program which they refer social security to be an entitlement. It is as anyone who has worked a job has put money into the system and has a right to get it back when they are old and need the money as there is no way I could hold any physically demanding job at this point.

They want to cut it? Really. I was a single mom, worked all my life until forced into retirement at 58. I was not on welfare I worked hard. So leave my Social Security alone as I am entitled to it. That is my beef and my rant.

You have every right to receive social security having paid into it. But before getting upset, it would be good to find out if what you are upset about is true. While Democrats have said that Republicans want to cut social security, them making the claim doesn't make it true. Cutting social security wasn't in the Republican platform and I didn't hear of a single candidate propose such an idea. If you know of one, please let me know.
Telling the truth is not exactly a hallmark of democratic candidates.

The point I was making is there were no Republicans who proposed cutting social security. It was a scare tactic employed by Democrats to get votes.

I have watched politics for a long time I'm old remember....both sides have talked about cutting entitlement programs. Both sides have spent the SS money in the wrong way which is why it's running out of money. Both are guilty and I don't like it.

It's a waste of time and money in my opinion.
He did a great job doing what presidents should do in regards to foreign relations, bringing industry back and a few others. Better than any in my lifetime. He also did some more than unscrupulous things that set up pressedent for future evil.
Personally I think he should have used his popularity to extend his influence for promotion of better congressmen, governors and a better presidential candidate than he. I was surprised that he got behind moderates like that wizard Dr Oz when there were clearly better candidates running and in a lead.

I get it. Keen observation. If he's big on MAGA and his ties are made in China, that's a contradiction.
