While undergoing demonic temptation, I find myself making the excuse that God is love and forgives infinitely and that he knew what I was going to do before I even did it. And after I've committed a sin, it always comes into my mind how God will judge me leading me to the jaws of despair. To combat this, I've been trying to remind myself before I agree to something in my mind that is sinful that God destroys the workers of iniquity and if such an unfortunate circumstance of sin arises, I have been trying to remind myself that with true repentance God forgives.

Once one is grounded in the belief that demons actually exist and whisper all kinds of negative thoughts into our minds, you can better combat against things. For instance, when I get angry at someone and see a resentment growing, I can disassociate myself with that. The suggestion to hate is merely a lie that the demons have implanted. I am complacent in that I have agreed with this hatred inside of me, but this hatred is not a part of my true self because my true self was made in the image and likeness of God.

Shame in my opinion only serves the demons because when one is ashamed it makes it very difficult to move on and one forgets how much God loves them and is only reminded of how worthless they are, so you don't take the necessary steps to repent and move on.

A human being is so much more than the sum total of deeds, feelings, thoughts, and emotions that we experience, for God is so much more than these things and we were made in his image, so we too are much more than these things. Sin is selling oneself so short of what a human being truly is for we are called to liken ourselves to God through Jesus Christ.

LORD HAVE MERCY!

I offer you my opinions and thoughts in the hope that they prove useful to you on your path to God.

The Christian life is not just a personal relationship between Jesus and myself, but is inclusive of me, Jesus Christ, the Son of God, and the entire human race. We're all in it together. That's my reasoning.
