All comments have bee pretty on topic and well stated yet I'm asking you to reach deep. Let me digress if someone is in your face and has bad breath are you bold enough to tell thme?If someone is dying in sin are you bold enough to tell them? the bad breath is harder than telling someone how you think they should live because we are so sensitive to feelings and don't want anyone upset at us even if our breath is funky. Scripturally the word says cry loud and spare not that is not talking about the breath alone but all that involvesGodly living and rightousness so we can be complete n him. Deception will cause us not to be bold. I think a thread on deception and its attack in the body will be a good teaching as well.

So, you want to speak more about how we shouldn’t be submissive? That’s kind of boldness?
But it is not really about boldness mentioned in the Bible.. I think.
Its more about our personality.
Maybe little bit about way how we were raise by our parents. And much much more to do with culture we are living at. There are things you cannot talk about or be honest with others in some culture because it would be perceive as really rude behavior… so

sorry for en

I don’t really see that much of connection between me being honest and telling somebody what bothers me (I hate your …nose, I hate when you are staring at me, you smell like dead dog, if you come one step further I will throw up, don’t touch me, stop asking me about my ex, no I don’t like this food etc etc) and between boldness mentioned in the Bible. Examples I have used, were purely illustrative ….
If we talking about telling the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth (so help me God) then we have to talk about borders, what is appropriate and when it (truth) is just hurtful and not helpful at all …

If we take Jesus as an example, he was bold enough to tell truth for example to the Pharisees that they are like unmarked graves, but he did not say to Lazarus that he smell really bad, or to leper that they look … like zombie …. hmmm..

I don’t find it right telling somebody for example.. “I really hate your shoes”.. even if it is truth, it is just hurtful information, so…
And about that other example what you’ve mentioned (you are dying in sin example) I would say this
: If I have no love for the person, that I rather shut up about him dying in sin. Because it would be same as scribes did, imho.

Your honesty has a level of boldness attached to it even if you dont see it. Boldness in terms of speaking what God says is what I am refering to. not just gum flapping foolishnees just because we can talk type boldness. Im speaking of seasoned words that will bring change even if we are not willing to do so, the boldness of the Lord gives us the ability to speak the words. That is what I am talking of. And sometimes the truth hurts that is why we need boldness to get over that fact. Like i disagree with your assesment that it is about personality. Why well dogs have personality, cats can think but they cant talk in a language we understand unless we ar cat and dog whisperers(lol). Can they be bold or foolish? I've seen both.Just some thoughts

I understand that if I reject Him, he will reject me... If I cast down His name he will cast down mine...

If I fear man more than God, than man becomes my god...

To be honest, I have the hardest time actually telling people about Christ because it will make them question my intelligence or infuriate them... I have been praying that God gives me more boldness.

Thank you for the post, God bless man :) You will be in my prayers :D
