The root of the error in liberal thinking is they started with the wrong assumptions. If you assume there is no god, then nothing anybody does really matters in the grand scheme because there IS no grand scheme. If you assume macro-evolution is real, we are obviously better than all humans who came before us (I mean just look at all the technology we have!) so we must be the most intelligent generation to ever grace the face of this randomly-generated planet.

The root of the error in Christian thinking is believing we are better than they are. We aren't better. We just chose the right advice to listen to.

Sounds believable.

In my experience in talking with liberals there seems always to be a common thread running with them. And that is, man is basically good. If man just has the right environment, wealth, and material goods, then he will always be good. Which is oppostite of the Christian and conservative view, which is man is basically fallen and evil, and needs certain restrictions to contain that evil.

Not exactly, but close.

It is more accurate to say the world is fallen and evil. It is more accurate still to say the world was created perfectly, but we humans broke it when we sinned. It still has some beauty but it doesn't work as well as it used to - it takes a lot more effort to survive now than it did in Eden - and there are a lot of opportunities for evil.

When things are designated as "sin" it is not to contain the evil within us but to highlight things to avoid so we will not sustain the damage that always comes from participating in those things. It's a lot like when your mother told you not to ride your bike on the road. She didn't tell you that to keep you from having fun, she was trying to keep you from being clobbered by a big metal box on wheels. If you disobeyed her and got hit by a car, it wouldn't be your mother punishing you for disobeying her, it would be the natural result of riding your bike on a road where cars drive.

This is another place where liberals think different. They believe we have evolved beyond what humans used to be and we should be able to ride our bikes on the road without worrying about cars because we are smart enough to watch for cars on our own. This belief does require a bit of consciously ignoring all the road accidents though. (This whole paragraph is metaphorical.)

Man is now fallen. Which is why the world, (world order), is fallen. Liberals don't see man as a 'fallen' sinful with a propensity for evil, being now.

We may live in a fallen world.......BUT it is not our HOME!

One day, the Lord will return and gather up His Church and take us ALL HOME!

These things are true. You don't have to teach a child to lie or steal, but I don't know a single person who did not have to be taught the value of telling the truth and sharing.

And the liberals you know must have never heard of all those rich people who committed crimes, committed suicide, did a lot of things that were unholy... even though they had everything they needed. It seems man's fallen nature is not alleviated by meeting all his needs.
