I'm not one who usually watches movies, but seeing as how today is a sick day for me (something that almost never happens) I'm down in front of the tv half watching in between  . We just watched a movie called "I believe", and it was pretty good (and I'm someone who ALWAYS sleeps through movies, even my favorites, but this one I stayed awake for)

.
I never heard of this one before. I will check it out sometime soon.

If anybody has any recommendations for a good movie that I could watch, then please let me know. I am dealing with a severely sprained foot, and I have already spent the last two days almost entirely in bed, and I am going stir crazy. By "a good movie," I am talking about something that does not glorify sin. I have seen just about every Christian movie already (not just in the last 2 days), so maybe some kind of love related movie without fornication, adultery, or any other type of sexual sin in it. Thanks.
If you haven't seen 'The Cokeville Miracle' it's in my top 3 movie favorites and it's a true Christian happening. Some other good flicks are '12 Angry Men(Henry Fonda), The Magnificent Seven(Steve McQueen), San Francisco(Clark Gable), Argo(Ben Affleck), The Parent Trap(Haley Mills) and the 1938 Tom Sawyer movie. They should take your mind off the sprain, lol, enjoy🤩!

Honestly, I anticipated that I would not like this movie. I have not watched it yet, but I did just watch the trailer for it on YouTube, and I almost started crying. I will watch this...maybe sometime later today. Thanks for sharing this.

Here is the trailer:

After my phone call yesterday with my newly appointed nurse, I am thinking about watching "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest." Seriously, she (my new nurse) made Nurse Ratched seem like a Girl Scout by comparison.

I just finished watching it. I liked it a lot. Thanks again.

Some lovely recommendations here! Big fan of Ratatouille and Wall E, totally depends on my mood. If looking for something more serious, I would also recommend The Darkest Hour which I saw last week. It's about Churchill and WW2 in Britain and ultimately winning the war, incredible acting from Gary Oldman. I haven't seen Perfect Days but the plot looks very wholesome so will definitely add it to my weekend list! In terms of cinema I recently saw Moana 2 and Mufasa, both good but not as good as Pixar's best (above). I've also recently been getting into travel films, even classics like Eat, Pray, Love (little bit feminine but like a Bridget Jones vibe) and Into the Wild (bit more serious). Allll of these I would recommend! There's also a guy I follow called Facts and Footsteps who travels around and when he's in a new place mentions movies that were filmed there and cool facts about them. He recently went to Tunisia and a lot of the Tatooine shots for the original Star Wars were filmed there. Also shout out to Bali and Eat, Pray, Love. Do you guys have a favorite film of all time you keep coming back to?

The Purge tv show. I've seen all the movies, didn't know a tv show had been made until recently. Shows how much I keep up.

Hi Carrie pie,
Long time no see. Hope you are doing well.

I am busy making Angora Rabbit And Merino wool mittens or would be tempted to watch Mars Attacks. I've posted a funny scene before but have to preview the movie before I decide to post it. Not sure if it's something anyone should watch yet. I'm finding a few YouTube movies available with my ad blocker.

What's the Purge?

Hello! I'm doing smashingly well, thank you! I hope you are staying safe, warm, and well! 🙏

Those sound like smashing mittens you are making and perfect for this time of year!
I've seen Mars Attacks. I found it to be entertaining.
The Purge series is probably too dastardly for most people, and maybe I shouldn't have mentioned it here lol. I tend to be more into intense movies, I guess. Although, I watch various genres. Anyway, on The Purge, there is one day out of the year that people in the U.S. can commit any kind of violence they want without repercussions. There are those who fight against or defend against the ones committing violence. My favorite one, so far, has been The Purge: Election Year (2016).

I signed up for a year with Instacart a few weeks ago and with it came a year of Peacock. So, I've been watching a lot of stuff on Peacock. It's great for when I'm snowed in, like today.

Im surprised to see so many stars in the opening credits of MA.

I think Alex Jones talked about the Purge. Peacock must be a movie subscription then?

I came across a small sweater on a special sale for such a purpose. It was the perfect candidate for mittens, so I rescued it at a good price the day before the store was to retire it.
I lost a left flip open mitten and a right glove to wear an unmatched pair. Last week, the clip that held them together broke while going to the grocery store. This is the perfect weather to be motivated to make flip top mittens. Then I plan to use some good camo fabric for gauntlets/ shell cover mittens like militaries use. That cuts the wind and precipitation .

This is certainly a good time of year for those mittens! I didn't have to get out today, but I ventured to the road to check the mailbox. While outside, I took some pics of the snowy landscape to send via text to @ForgiveMeGod and my hands were miserably cold lol. Otherwise, it wasn't too bad and I enjoyed seeing all the critter tracks in the snow while I was outside.

Yes, Peacock is a subscription site. I didn't even know about it until I bought a year long membership with Instacart and that came with it, so we've been watching movies on there. I finished the first season of The Purge this evening. I started the second season, but it isn't grabbing me yet like the first season. That's probably why it was cancelled.
