I was impressed by Stallone's acting in Oscar.

I'll have to check these out, especially Mr. Godfrey. I have a fondness for '30 movies. One of my favorite movies of any decade is Freaks (1932). Many people these days skip over the '30s, but there are some gems in that era.

I think we have the same taste I love old movies you never have to worry about your feelings being hurt or them being so violent. Bette Davis movies and William Powell movies are some of my favorites.
I like the atmosphere of old movies. I used to get off work late (usually 3am) and watch Bela Lugosi movies from the 30s and 40s. At the time I lived near a one dollar shop (not Dollar Tree) and they usually had Lugosi movies and other black & white movies.
I haven't been to the movies in years, but if there was a theater near me that played old movies on the big screen I'd probably be there more often.

and when snaps said to his daughter (you have brought shame onto this family ) immediately after he points his finger and says in Italian innocent

It's funny mention you that, as I didn't notice Kirk Douglas until after I watched the movie and went to look at the cast and seen that he was in the movie. "What? Where?" Then I had to go back and look lol
