There's a to topic on dreams that brought sleep walking to mind.

When I was younger I had the problem of sleep walking.
I would try to climb out windows, stand on top of things, and even walk down stairs. I only got hurt once walking off the end of my bed and dislocating my knee. Lol.

Are you or some one you know a sleep walker?

I am not a sleep walker... I am just curious, how did your mother handle that? Sew bells into your pajamas?

My parents made a thing out of wood that fit over the door knob so I at least wouldn't go outside. It's quite an experience to wake up outside in your undies. Lol
I know some people have to be strapped down to the bed so they don't hurt themselves. There's cases where sleep walkers go outside in the winter and freeze to death or jump out windows. The most dangerous is people who eat in their sleep.

I've only ever sleep walked twice in my entire life. I lived in an apartment building that had benches in the hallway, and stairwells going up and down. One time I woke up and was sitting on the bench outside my apartment, and the other time, I woke up on the stairs in the stairwell. And it's never happened since. That was back in the early 90's..

Yikes! No, I've never had anything like that... sadly, I do have a weird instance in my family.. my cousin and her husband are VERY happily married, but he had an aneurysm that resulted in some brain issues. After that, he has occasionally been known to hit her in his sleep... this is very sad. He's a big, huge guy, and she's very skinny... he's the sweetest thing in the world and would never knowingly hurt a fly. :(

I do believe there was a case of a man murdering his wife in his sleep... so tragic. :(

There was three times I went outside, twice that woke up during. The first time was on my front porch and I had to take a minute to figure out where I was, the second time I was living in a college dorm and walk down a flight of stairs, I didn't wake up all the way so all I remembered was standing at the bottom of the stairs and I guess I fell back to sleep and walked back up.

I have sleep-walked as a youth, but I was also 'drugged' from a young child...
a symptom? I believe so...

Nope. Not myself. But my sister used to sleep walk. I think she's stopped though. People do all sorts of things in their sleep.
