When God is Silent

Lord I hold fast to you through this silence.
I long to be close to you even in silence.
Lord let me let go of all the false interpretations
Of what silence means and may I understand what
Silence means in truth.

Out of the silence comes sound
Sound arises out of silence.
Shall I listen to the silence
Or the sound.

How do I love you even during this
Thick silence.
Let me not turn away from you in silence.

Maybe you have turned your ear to me
And are listening to me
Or for me.
Are you listening for my silence?
Is that why you are silent?

Take me deeper then, into your silence.
Your thick blanket of silence.
I feel a sense of protection in your silent presence.

I curl up into your arms and rest in your silentness.
I trust in your silentness.
Let us listen to each others silence then.

Such beauty in your words♥ I too know this silence it has been a blessing to me in more than one way. In this silence my soul stills as to hear his unspoken words and his voice with no sound in this silence I take in his beauty and majesty in a more subtle way and it's in his silence that blind faith is exercised and grown.
