How many of you have not heard this very scary threat. And yes, it is a threat.
Some of you owe someone something, and Satan has been using this situation to keep you from the Liberty in Jesus. It is the same threat that people get trapped in by joining gangs, if you try to leave, you die. But my friend, I would gladly choose death if it meant liberty. I don't mean it the way you have heard it. I mean, I would gladly let someone kill me for choosing to follow Jesus, and even then I would pray that God raise a mighty hand against my enemies in my defense. It is not for you to defend yourself, but God will defend.
When I got trapped in this situation, this particular person kept reminding me of the debt. And by and by I was getting more offended. And when I would hear the words of Jesus I would feel even more condemned. And I read those wise words that said that you should avoid surety unless you make yourself a slave. I WISH I HAD KNOWN THIS BEFORE I GOT INTO THE SITUATION.
This was a serious tug, and my friend I know you feel that tug. That uneasy feeling of doing what is right but having that tug on your very life. But with Jesus he will see to it that you come out on top.
If you do not get rid of this it will stop you from being full how you can be in Jesus. Don't let people trap you in your debts. Jesus will forgive debts but people will hold you to them.
Now if you owe someone something go to them and try to make peace, but if they will not make peace go to your Father in heaven and ask for wisdom. He will give it you you. I love you and I don't want to see you like this. May Jesus bless you and keep you my friends. I love you in Christ Jesus.
