For me it is The Light of the World ' by Holman Hunt. I have a framed one on my kitchen wall and it inspires me afresh each time I study it. What a breathtaking image, that Christ Himself knocks at the door of every human heart and all who open shall be so blessed. I have not seen this painting in person but I hope to.

So which painting or sculpture or artwork about the Christian faith is the one you like best, why and have you seen it in person?

Can we include music in this, or is this strictly visual art? Cause I got a metric ton of songs...

Not so big on paintings though.

I love these two paintings of Simeon by Rembrandt. The first painted when the artist was 26 years old and very full of himself. The second was the last painting he did before his death. From first seeing Christ from afar, he finally came to an up- close and personal relationship with his savior. I love the contrast.
