*********Life can be torturous at times----Main Reason for the Thread is to encourage diligence and obedience----Heard one preacher say----"No Pain---No Pain"------his philosophy was---do it right---do it God's way---we can avoid a lot of problems that we are experiencing and have encountered--------what's your thoughts----got some advice for the younger brothers and sisters---so they can "avoid" some torturous problems...
*****do it God's way----obedience to God's Word & Spirit...

**** the purpose of the post is to avoid pain through obedience-...
I can't believe that you think that obedience will help you avoid pain. Sometimes Christ is glorified in what we suffer. Unless we know pain, we will never know Him as Healer. Unless we are weakened by a disease, we will never know him as the One who strengthens us (and others WILL notice).

Even the boy who was born blind and the ones around him questioned if he had sinned, etc., Jesus answered that it was for the glory of God (to be seen).

Life is not about avoiding hardship and pain. It is surrendering yourself to the purposes of God and becoming His to use in whatever way He chooses to be glorified. It is all about Him - not you.

"For I have died, and my life is hidden in Christ".

****I agree totally---but some of God's people jam themselves up unnecessarily because they lack wisdom or understanding (Hosea 4:6)...

It might be helpful if you qualified your statements. Not so black and white.
