I have been living in my current rented apartment since March 2018. I am from a church that is known as Church of God. I am in this city and state for church planting (not sheep stealing! :)). My church is evangelical, conservative and continuationist with regards to Holy Spirit's gifts and activities but we do not identify as Pentecostal or Charismatic. I am the same.

I just found out that a family from South Korea have been living in one the building next to mine. They have been here for over a year, perhaps! Sometimes they go out of station for a long period of time (maybe because of Visa formalities or some other mission work), that is why I never knew about them. Another neighbour told me about them. At first, I was kind of curious. But I found out recently that they are from the World Mission Society Church of God (WMSCOG) and they have been gathering the youths of the neighbourhood for prayer meetings. Most of these youths are from Christian backgrounds but I am afraid they may be misguided by this cult.

I'm new here. And I don't want to cause any unwanted trouble to guests from another country. They seem to be nice people too! Misguided in theology and Bible interpretation but as human being, they seem OK. My neighbours seem to be happy with them.

I don't want to start a Bible study at my home because I don't want people to join my church from another church. We are to work with non-believers and unchurched believers only. We are only to encourage and fellowship with Christians from other churches.

But after finding out that our Korean neighbours are from WMSCOG I am considering to start a Bible study at my home. I don't want to seem like I am competing with our Korean neighbours. And I don't want this to be a "church" unless some new believers join. But I really do want to offer some kind of guidance for the neighbourhood youths and family.

Do you understand my dilemma? Can anyone offer advice?

A brief backstory:
A childhood friend of mine, I found out last year, has joined the WMSCOG. He is very committed to his new church. He is from a Roman Catholic background. The Church of God is a common church in our state and some of the WSMCOG have gone around introducing themselves a from Church of God. Even my friend had said to me that he also is from the Church of God when he asked me about my denomination. They try to lure our COG members to their WMSCOG using this kind of approacho_O. I'm afraid some have joined them:cry:. It seems to me that the WMSCOG not only have compelling arguments against orthodox believes but also have a lot of money. What do you think? I maintain a good relationship with my friend and I pray for him that he will understand the problems with WSMCOG's interpretation of the Bible.

Never heard of them so I had to look it up.
Seemingly they believe Jerusalem is mother god who gives the
water of life.

If you feel you should do something, prayer. Then if you want to do more
you might want to try getting to know people in your neighbourhood if it’s
safe to do so. Also maybe try to find out what they are offering the youths of
the neighbourhood.

Young people gather for a reason, usually that reason is because someone is
taking an interest in them. Unfortunately young people have a tendency to
believe the grass is blue and the sky is purple if someone shows them a bit of
attention.
