I wrote this at the beginning of April.

Your eyes like fire
Penetrate my heart
Seeing into the deepest parts of me.

You exposed my sin and began burning out the darkness,
restoring my spirit to it's full potential.

I turned from my wickedness
You did not scorn me or fill me with shame.
You showed me compassion and restored me.

Your eternal flame invites me,
I ache to be pure before You.
I want to be consumed.
I want to be a Burning One.

You prepared me to fight for Your name.
Though I began to triumph, I became weak.
My enemies overwhelmed me and I became discouraged.

You did not look down on me for my stumbling.
You came to me and lifted me up, you gave me strength again, and smothered me with love.
You increased my passion and desire for Your holiness. I got back up.

I want to remain a Burning One.
