Hi guys - I just returned from church on this beautiful Sabbath day in sunny Florida and I just had to share what I saw and heard with you as it had such an impact on me. I am several years past youth, but the youth in our church from the little wee ones to the teen/young adults lead out for the entire church service and I was truly blessed.

The sermon started with a young woman just standing lifeless in the middle of the stage and Jesus walks in and slowly brings her to life. As he moved his right arm she did the same, as he moved left arm she did the same, as he moved his left foot she followed and as he moved his right foot again she copied his move. They then began a dance and as they danced he showed her different things from life and how it worked and you could see how she came more and more alive and the original sadness she had was gone and she was now so happy as they moved beautifully around the stage.

Then satan entered and he started getting her attention and the dance changed and satan was now dancing with her and she looked confused and not so happy. Jesus stood on the side of the stage trying to get her attention and satan moved and stood in front of Jesus as the temptation of addiction came on stage with a beer bottle making it look like so much fun and dancing with the young woman who was trying to grab the beer bottle wanting to drink. She finally got the bottle but discovered that the bottle was empty.

The next temptation danced on stage and was beauty and body images and they danced together but it just made the young woman feel not good enough and discouraged she seemed so unhappy with how she looked as beauty danced off to stand in front of addiction, greed and money took to the floor and teased the young woman with wealth and power making it all look so attractive he threw money on the floor and the young woman grabbed the money but greed took the money away from her and she was sadder than before and the dance was not quite as good.

Finally depression and death danced on the stage and showed the young woman how nice it would be to end it all with a knife first and she tried to cut her wrists but it didn't work and all this time Jesus is off to the side trying to fight through all these collecting temptations to get to the young woman. I have to say that at this point I was so involved with this skit that I was in tears. As depression and death continued the temptation the young woman had a gun and was on her knees putting the gun to her head ready to end this dance. I am really upset now and as I look to the side I see Jesus fighting to get through to her and all these struggles and temptations.

The young woman throws the gun to the floor and starts crawling toward Jesus as all the temptations grab at her to pull her away from any progress she is making toward Jesus. Jesus is reaching out to her and they almost touch but not quite yet. Then Jesus in mighty power shoves all of the temptations plus satan away from the young woman and stands between her and all of them...O.K. at this point I am really crying at the love and the effort Jesus had made to get to and save this young woman all the while satan and all the temptations are beating and grabbing at Jesus to get him away from between them and the young woman. I am close to not being able to control my emotions.

In the final scene the young woman and Jesus start the dance again and end in a huge hug of victory....I was totally gone and so very touched by this skit and the great job our young people did at getting across how life really is and how much we need Jesus. I wish anyone reading this could have been there and witnessed this amazing skit and its message. I just hope with my sharing it that it might touch you in some way too.

Have any of you seen the youth of your church do something that really moved you and you felt that Jesus was leading them. If so please share that here as I know I would love to read it. Thanks

I do hope I am not derailing this thread when I report an experience I had with a young girl who visited our church. Please note my age, boy am I NOT a youth.

This young girl was dressed is the latest rather 'with it" style, although it wasn't sexy. I forgot what she said to me as we passed in the hall, but it was evident she felt I would judge her in a negative way, and it was evident she needed God's and my love. Her image comes to my mind often, for I was too shocked to respond when the Lord could have used my response for His glory. I didn't even get my head together soon enough to track her down in the church to give her my and the Lord's love. She needed more than prayers, she needed an actual hug.

I hope these reports will alert God's church to appreciate our young ones and be ready with love for them.
