Stop using them....
Sorry...bad joke I know.

I just live with the pain that Tylenol doesn't handle....not much else to do.
Sometimes I double up with ibuprofen or naproxium sodium. (Aleve)

I got it in both hands, shoulders, left knee and right ankle.

Artificial joints might help...but they don't do that for hands.

I've been using a ibuprofen laced ointment that works pretty good too.

Glucosamine with chondroitin works for me contrary to reports that it has no benefits. Cost is minimal to try and available everywhere like reese's, maybe even at your bank. However, took 3 months before effects kicked in and my trouble was knees only????!! More to this but only if you are interested as this is time consuming to post.

Turmeric with pepperine works too....both help but require time to take effect.

Persistent, glad to know you are into natural healing. Giving your body the materials for repair. Sounds like you've recovered.
It must be because you have been persistent. 😄
Some people wouldn't try it if you gave it to them. However, if the VA said they need to amputate those knees, they'd throw down the crutches and jump out of the chairs to stand in line for the next operating table.
Present company excluded.
I've talked to MANY over the years about supplementation for knee pain and some take it and see results, while others make sure to do what is necessary for knee destruction and amputation. Breaks my heart.

My neighbor had knee damage from his work and had surgery but now takes GC too. He says it helps. I don't normally use it daily. About 30 days use and I'm good for 10-20 months. But I recently bought some for maybe $5 for 400 tabs so I take it daily. Usually runs me $20 for 60 tabs at Walmart? Still cheap. My brother had arthritis so bad he needed a cane in his early 30's and my mother always said she had it. What you say about people not wanting to try it isn't helped when the system allows news reports like I've heard that it isn't effective. At least Wikipedia gives the ins and outs and I think I saw deep in some article that it is effective for some people and of course depending on type of arthritis. My neighbor may have placebo effect. But hey!

Even placebo effect is better than injectable steroids, chemical antiinflammatories and pain killers. I understand acute pain though. It's hard to heal if you can't sleep. I'm of the opinion as are studies that certain doses of the right combination of quality supplements does do a body good. I had an anti inflammatory for dinner like you mentioned. Turmeric at a therapeutic dose in brown rice along with fresh ground quality peppers, coriander and cumin. Add crushed garlic and onion to liver fried in fat and it's a good combo that helps keep my injury from flaring up.

News only pushes the drugs because one of the biggest advertisers are pharma companies. Then they have their health gurus like the wizard of OZ tell everyone the obvious but slips in," don't forget to get injected. "

I have arthritis in my back and shoulders. I used to get prescription hydrocodone but not anymore. Probably better off without it because it's so addictive. Mostly just take Ibuprofen and naproxen

Any suggestions for a natural way to manage arthritis of the hand?
Yes the recipe calls for raw honey and cinnamon .teaspoon of each , in the morning ,half hr before food. study showed , in a group of 200 , some with limbs that couldnt move , taken daily , over 70% had mobility without pain .

an as a 60 yr old tradesman , i keep it next to the coffee pot...... if you do this ,just remember to put cinnamon and honey in .......before the coffee, lol really have to mix the cinnamon into the honey otherwise it floats....doesnt go down so well...lol

Some people find that changing their diet, such as reducing inflammation-causing foods and increasing their anti-inflammatory foods, can help relieve symptoms.
Massaging the affected joint can help improve circulation and reduce pain and stiffness.
Certain herbs, such as turmeric and ginger, have anti-inflammatory properties that may help reduce pain and swelling.
