Anyone here watch the Fat Sick and Nearly Dead documentary from Joe Cross and Juice? I followed his juicing recommendations last year for 8 weeks and really felt a difference. Looking to start another 4-6 week program and thought I would check to see if anyone else has tried it or Juice consistently.

Yes, I've seen the documentary. No, I've never done the juicing challenge. I generally eat healthy foods - fruit and veggies, meats and cereals etc. But I also eat some junk food. A little more than I should, but probably far less than many people. I enjoy a good cup of juice, but I don't think I could do the challenge. I love my solids too much. That and I believe there's such a thing as too much fruit and veg.

Yes the "only juice" challenge is quite a committment but they have many guides on juicing one or two meals with the 3rd meal just healthy to ensure you get all the super food vegis in your system.

Lady Blue the documentary is on netflix if you have that but I think its also online if you google it through his site. It is an interesting 90 min or so spot. In case you wanted to check it out.

I did an all raw food vegan challenge for 30 days with incorporating juicing back in 2012. I have lots of recipes I can share with you. I've been gluten free since 2010 due to health. Right now I'm mostly just paleo and gluten free. I like Joe, I met him he's a very nice funny man :)

fresh juicing has been a part of my hubs and my life-style for many years -
the BENEFITS are really quite amazing..
it does take dedication and a desire to be healthy at any cost!!!

a 'good juicer' is worth every penny, we have a 'VITA-MIX' that is like the 'ever-ready-bunny to us,;)
we love it, and the benefits just never stop...

the bonus is 'growing your own', eating sunshine with all of its life-giving-forces, NOTHING can replace
what our Father in Heaven has given us for 'medicine' that is not only healing, but also rejuvenating
in so many ways.....

PEACE of MIND = GOOD HEALTH

we pray that all would make their own health a top priority....

Yes, I saw it on Netflix and what an eye opener. I haven’t juiced in about a year…just been too busy but I did feel a tremendous amount of extra energy and clearer head when I did. Thank for the post…now you’ve got me kind of motivated to get back into it! lol

Peace

I have a breville juicer as Joe recommends and do love it but you get so little juice from leafy greens like kale and spinach that I am trying to do research on benefits of using a Vitamix blender as opposed to juicer. I realize the fiber benefit from blending but trying to figure out the difference between juicing and blending beyond that.

chick,

we have a regular juicer also and use it occasionally - we do love the carrot juice made in our
'juice-man', the flavor is excellent...but we use the Vita-Mix so much more, it's been a lot of years
that we have experimented with it and we have reaped so many benefits...

we can make a half a gallon of juice, including 'clean-up' in under '8'mins. with the Vita-Mix..
this is a HUGE PLUS for us, and we really appreciate how much less labor we have to put out.

hope this helps...
