About 5 years ago I started seeing a nutritionist for a number of problems I was having from my digestive system to my heart. One in particular was I had a racing heart and it palpitated (missed a beat) and would bang up against my chest. It was really scary and doctors had said they didn't know anything to do about it except diet and exercise.

Well I changed my diet to organic and lots of water, etc ...

And of course remember Jesus is our Great Healer! He lead me to what I needed. God bless.

I have suffered from this condition all my life and, sad to say, was medically misdiagnosed for this problem for a number of years. It is a miracle that I am still alive. I have always attempted to take of myself and regularly take medication. In my many studies I came across a form of yoga practice which is not well known in the West but has been practiced for thousands of years. That science is known as mudras. Here is one that specifically addresses palpitations:

This may seem like the silliest exercise you have ever seen in your life but I promise you, this does actually work. YT and Google have many videos and articles to this ancient science. By the way, it is the easiest form of exercise known to humanity and even Jesus has been portrayed in thousands of paintings and statues using these exercises.

I am guessing it doesn't matter which hand you use.

Depends on which teaching you prefer - some yogins (teachers of yoga) say use the right hand, others say use both. Which ever is most comfortable and effective for you.

By the way, my heart palpitated in my sleep this morning at 5 AM (a recurring problem). I used the exercise and the pain in my heart was gone in less than 5 minutes. In the past I would be debilitated for almost the entire day. Yes, the exercise looks silly but trust me it does work.

I wonder if anyone here has tried the mudras exercises. On another website where I occasionally post (one that is non Christian) several people have said they used it and it works for them.

Your late to the party Lynn. That was 3 weeks ago. You have reformed me...

Keep up with the great input, don't allow yourself to be censored by a non mod when so many of us value your educated, experienced input which actually changes and saves lives.

Some people prefer to think they're right and continue to be sick, than admit they could be wrong and get well. Pride is something not easily cured by pills. Hope you weren't reformed too much, as your advice seemed the smartest in the thread. (-;
Case in point, 100% agreement.

Try Miror EPF. Take magnesium and potassium. Buy some Vaso dilalator supplements. Go 100% vegan, if you can.

I know it sounds so simple but I switched to decaf tea and coffee few months back.
Ive never slept better and I no longer get that sensation of heart thumping a bit
just before dropping off to sleep.

Its such a simple solution which I think many underestimate.

Are you sure you don't have AFib? Sounds like you're getting your medical advice from nutritionists, not doctors. Sure, what you changed worked for a week. But it's only a week.

If you only rely on nutritionists there may come a day when even doctors can't help you.
I have the same problem with my heart as the other person posted, and the only way to stop it is by having part of the heart singed because its to do with the electrics in the heart, they jump out of sync which makes the heart beat faster, the only reason i have had not had the surgery is the down side is having a stroke, i have AFIB since i was 13, i am 55 now, i have had more attacks as i get older, but since i have been walking with the Lord, every time my heart goes into over beats, I pray to Him, He calms me while i go through it, and to be honest the attacks of it last only a minute as before i have gone to hospital with it untill it as settled down, the Lord is my healer, my strength, my love...xox... I must add that the surgery has cured many people with the same problem, and you are also awake while they burn the heart, but it`s that risk of a stroke that scares me, I trust, lean and rely on the Lord...xox...

just a share:

the way that I deal with 'heart-palpitations is this, and it has worked for many a year for me;
hub will fix me a 'shot of Apple Cider Vinegar', Braggs, in a double/triple splash of good water and
I drink this down: so many times it just settles my heart down to a normal level of beating
that will allow me to rest...
by the way, if I happen to eat to much salt, and I'm talking just in the food I have eaten,
without any added salt -
it really cuts what the salt is doing to my blood/heart.organs... I have discovered for myself,
that rank salt thickens and slows my circulation, big time/a massive clogger for me...
we don't use any processed salt and avoid white-flour products, etc..
we do keep sea-salt on hand but really don't add it to our food very much, rare...

sea-salt very much resembles the composition of the blood, a lot of the 'same elements'...
processed 'ANYTHING', these days, are killers of our bodies, they are like lieing spirits,
than can never feed or heal, only destroy the natural...

If you have not gotten a diagnosis, you need to. A nutritionist can tell you what to do for long-term care, and even some short term solutions - some which can even save your life in some cases, if you are in a danger zone, but I would not take the chance if I were you.
Keep praying. Your faith will go a long way in healing, but there is a physical bio-science reality about this.
Start taking mineral supplements, if you're not already. Use only Himalayan salt. You can rub some in your belly button,. Some people tell me it calms things down sometimes.
There are some herbs and essential oils which are good for heart health.
If you can get in a hypoerbaric chamber on a semi-regular basis, do so.
Do not ingest many fructose sugars, especially refined ones.
Absolutely do not combine starches and sweets when your eating. For that matter, neither starches and proteins.

Thank you for that...Yes i have been diagnosed with AFIB, no food i take will stop the pulses going out of sync, it`s my electric pulses that go against each other every now and then, that`s why they offered me the surgery to burn the part of my heart to bring back the pulses in sync again...I can handle palpitations , but when my pulses go on a mad one, my blood pressure takes a nose dive, my hands become numb, my ears go deaf, but the truth is, when i pray to God, He calms me, and like i said in other post, the attack only last for a minute then my pulses jump back to normal and i am fine again, also the attacks are becoming less and less, my sister has asked me to go to Australia next year if God wills it to be so, and the thought of having an attack on the plane is really putting me off in case it goes into full blown and i need to go to hospital, but if God wills that i go, then i know Hhe will watch over me...xox...

Are you taking mineral supplements? Especially magnesium and potassium?
What about Mirror EPF? Do you use that?
Have you tried Ozone/oxygen therapy?
And are you using systemic enzymes?
You might want to pick up this book. It talks about our electro - magnetic system.
"Healing is Voltage" by Jerry Tenant, MD, MF(H), PScD.
The author is also a Christian. I have never met him, but a colleague of mine has.
The science is valid, and he has helped many people.
This is his website.
https://www.tennantinstitute.us/
Lastly, no offense, but your diet is probably not too good. Cleaning it up would help you, despite what you may have been told or what you might believe.

It is great that folks here continue to help each other with good advice about dealing with this medical problem. Recently, I used magnesium citrate and found that it was very helpful in controlling my palpitations. Yoga breathing exercises, magnesium citrate, and mudras have significantly alleviated my palpitation problems while improving my sleeping patterns.

Good health to all! :)
