I hope nobody was offended by that video.

I did have 2 points to make.

1. If you stop eating anything but air... you are almost certainly guaranteed to lose weight.

2. If you see a really skinny girl who is TOTALLY STARK RAVING BAT-EXCREMENT CRAZY....
maybe you'll all feel better about your diets.

I agree with soul Weaver. Stop eating rice, bread and noodles and eat more veg, fruit and plain yoghurt. Drink lots of water.
I've done that and my blood sugar and cholesterol levels have stabilised. Exercise at least three times a week. Don't jump or do knee exercises if you can't. I am 60 years old this November but do not look my age at all. Praise God!!!

losing weight is hard. I say I am fasting when people ask me, but in all actuality I am doing it to loose weight.

Hi has anyone tried slimming world as a way to loose weight and if so does it work i have a walking disability that has resulting in contributing to my weight gain. I want to start the group but dont want to throw my money away if it is no good .
Perhaps the main reason I don't have much trouble with my weight is that I do a good job staying away from sweets. Sweets have little nutritional value.

I have been on the slimming world plan and I find it very good. It's just a healthy plan where you can eat free and super free foods until you are satisfied along with fruits, veggies and meat with all visible fat removed and a daily synergy intake up to 15 :)

My mum had lost 8 stone on it, and improved her health dramatically. She got all her insulin removed and stopped all cholesterol medications. The confidence in her was fantastic.

I pray to lose weight and I have got God helping me not to give in to temptations.

Here's a couple of tips that might help your cravings. Hunger is a result of your body saying it needs something. Here are a couple of ways to get more vitamins out of your food and not spike your insulin which also causes more cravings. Do not drink when you eat especially carbonated beverages. This nutralizes stomach acid and prevents the breakdown of food into smaller components. Digestion is key to absorbtion. This is also why you should chew your food thoroughly, and then some. Your saliva is the first stage of digestion and should be utilized. Crave carbs, eat salad and it should stop. Veggies have smaller amounts of sugar that will satisfy but won't spike your insulin. Don't drink too much water. Over hydrating can leach your system of nurishment that leads to cravings.

Stomach fat from what I understand is mostly from too much carbs. As well, when you have chronic stress due to inflammation, oxidation and/or hectic lifestyle it causes cortisol to be continually released, which turns your glycogen into blood sugar, and if it is not used in the form of exercise, it stores it as fat in your midsection. The body is designed for survival. This is the bodies survival mechanisms in full effect. If you want to first stop gaining fat then you have to tell it that you are not going to starve. Eat only real food, veggies, veggies, and veggies, nuts , seeds, eggs, protein, and good omega 3 sources like fish. Gluten is always a bad idea, but if you show a sensitivity to it it should be avoided altogether. Dairy is bad because of what they feed the cows. All pollution, food coloring, and chemicals they put in the food lead to the chronic inflammation loop. Antioxidants are critical, so look up some good sources and find ones you like.

Next get rid of fat by exercising hard on an empty stomach. It doesn't matter what you heard, this is truth. In the morning before you eat anything, workout. Walks in the evening to get rid of stress, but before you have anything that will cause your insulin to release (sugar, anxiety, food sensitivity) push yourself physically in 30-40 second bursts to exhaustion for 30 mins. This triggers Growth hormone to be released. Growth Hormone is your best friend. It not only keeps you young but reverses the clock, keeps you healthy and fit. It won't be released during an insulin spike. Gh can stay in your system for up to 2 hr, so ride the wave. If you have to eat after your workout, have nuts, seeds, protein (not a protein bar), eggs, or leafy greens, but as soon as you eat carbs, bye bye Gh. Eat your carbs midday but not before bed. Insulin can circulate in your blood for hours after a sugary snack or starchy meal. As well, have your last food of the day at 7 pm. I make a protein shake with 2 raw eggs blended in it (can't even taste them) before bed. This provides my body with some extra protein for repairing muscles, cholesterol for hormone generation and L-citrulline, that boosts Gh and helps with nitric oxide production (benefits circulation and performance for workouts). Gh is released in large amounts during deep sleep. Sleep better by keeping telecommunication devices (anything with a signal) in another room, and other electronics away from your person. Always dim the lights at night and sleep in a completely dark room. Melatonin is the hormone that makes you sleepy and is released by your pineal gland which is light sensitive. Get at least 7 hrs of sleep.
....see getting rid of stomach fat is all very easy.

I am on a diet . I walk thirty minutes per day I also lift weights I cut out all sweets .
and soda . I only drink Tea , water, EAS shakes ( bill Phillips body for life shakes )
some times a diet soda for a treat . not very often .
I eat salads now . I used to hate veggiies but now since I forced myself to like them
I love them .
zone bars are good for a supplement as well.
I encourage every one to try the body for life diet.

On thing that I have learned over the years is weight gain is about eating habits. Sometimes we over eat, we eat the wrong types of food, we drink soda etc...

There is one workout plan that has worked for me and it is called The Body for Life. It talks about eating portions of food and has a workout plan that doesn't take very long. If someone is serious about losing weight then they need to incorporate the eating and the workout.

One thing with women is don't weigh yourself everyday. I have to remind my wife of this all the time. Women can go through a diet and not see weight loss right away but their figure is changing. This is because muscle weighs more than fat. You will eventually drop the pounds but like i said you will see it in your figure first.

Fast weight drop plans are not good for you and in the end most people pack on the pounds afterward. A weight loss program should turn into a way of life for you afterwards.

If you want to lose belly fat, start eating right and start doing cardio and do ab exercises. Most people also see better results in weight loss with weight training than cardio.

If anyone wants to know more about the body for life workout let me know or they sell the book at most bookstores. It is pretty simple and you don't have to count calories. The concept is, if the food fits in the palm of your hand that is the portion you get. The runs are only 20 mins long and the workouts are 45 mins.
